I think it was probably deliberate on her part. The thread wasn't going the way she wanted it to.

Oh - I'm just now seeing this chapter. I hope the dogs are in fact OK in their old home. Would have been nice to feel better about where they went, but hopefully they are happy there and maybe the kennel part is temporary till they can get settled. Too bad about the missing dogs... probably got hit somewhere, you think?
To: FrogInABlender
Ah - thanks frog.... I thought it might have been you or Beaker.
I too, think he's just reacting to the idea of the drops, and being held down too. I don't like it either. Good tip about the eyelid, I'll see if I can manage that. If we're going to continue this twice a day, we're going to have to find a better system.

REally...I couldn't tell, she seemed rather Dr Jekyell, Mr. Hyde type....Oh well, I backed out for awhile to get my bearings. I need to go over there and read that post on the thread I posted, I skimmed it last night, but couldn't tell what the point was. I may have just been tired:)

It sounds like you've had a nice day. A walk in the woods with the dogs sounds great to me. We're in the upper 70's and sunny here today and I sure hope it holds out through the weekend. These pretty day during the week while I'm stuck here at work are killing me! BladeRider and I are going to meet up tomorrow for a ride and I sure am looking forward to it.

That epona....lady, I don't know if it was me or her, we just did not seem to be able to communicate...I couldn't figure out if she just can't read:), or could and was deliberatly twisting my posts or if my posts really did come across judgemental and aggressive. I finally decided it would be better to end it with her, rather then get in an ugly war of words with her. I think it was what is on the inside of YOU vs. what was on the inside of HER .. *wink*
there was confusion all over that thread .. not a good thing. i like her on the other threads .. she's just .... um .... scary on the spiritual thread .. LOL

It wasn't me, maybe it was Cindydawg?

I too, think he's just reacting to the idea of the drops, and being held down too.I would think if the drops hurt he would continue to squint or rub at that eye after the drops were put in.

turd in the punchbowl? Where did you say that? Was it on the standing on the horses back thread?
I rode Tuffy today, he did fine besides a little spooking. I tried to body clip George with my clipmaster, didn't work. I started researching sheep shears on the internet, I can get some Oster Shearmaster shears but I really didn't want to spend another $300 on clippers.

You need to go back and read the whole thread though, and then keep in mind that this thread is an offshoot of things that happened on the Standing On Your Horse thread. Lotsa Drama going on over there lately!

Your blades probably need sharpening. Mine seem to be good for about 2 clips before they're toast. If you can find somebody to sharpen them, it's cheaper than buying new blades. I think I paid about $6 per pair the last time.
I sure do dread doing body clips. Mine take SO long to shed and I guess I'm impatient for that nice light gray color that my roans turn in the summer.

To: tuffydoodle
Glad tuffy's feeling good, even if feeling good means being a little spooky.
You think the clippers are shot or just need either sharpened or new blades?
To: HairOfTheDog
Since Frog mentioned it, I do think the blades need sharpening. I didn't think of trying that, duhhhhhhh. I would like to buy the shears but I just can't justify that much money if a blade sharpening might do the trick.
You sure stirred up a hornets nest over on that horse.com forum. Pretty funny reading, those people are nuts.

Ok ladies, I have an issue. I'm not sure how to state it, so I'm going to do my best, and I ask you to do your best in interpreting what I say! :-p
So, most of you are aware that I'm in the process of horse shopping. Another woman and I are going in it together, which complicates things a little, and probably some of you don't think that it's a good idea, and I respect that, because I have my own reservations. My issue though is that I don't think that my trainer and I are not on the same page about my abilities, and I'm not sure how to address it, but it's obviously important because it's going to greatly influence what she thinks is a suitable horse. I don't know how to go about it without seeming like a snooty mucky-muck if I disagree with her. I know my limits, and I'm not one to get on a horse that's above me. I'm not a bad rider, but there's a whole different idea of "good" at that barn, it seems. (And there are some good riders there)
I like my trainer, she's good and I respect her opinion, but I feel that I'm at a point were I need to be pushed a little more. Another concern that I have is that the other woman mentioned about being concerned about suitability of the horse in the lesson program as a factor, and ultimately that would be up to us and I feel a little awful about this but I've been burned before so I'm hesitant... In truth, however, my trainer is the only person that I would ever allow to do this, and it's only under agreement with the owners, but... I have too many previous bad memories with a previous trainer. So I think that I'll just kind of cross that bridge when I get to it.
So? Comments? Discussion? But please, no turds in the punch bowl! :-D
