This is a horse chat thread where we share ideas, ask for input from other horsemen, and talk about our riding and horse-keeping. We have a lot of different kinds of riders and horses, and a lot to share. In the previous threads we have had a great time talking through lessons, training, horse lamenesses, illnesses and pregnancies... and always sharing pictures and stories.
I always have a link to this thread on my profile page, so if you have something to say and can't find the thread in latest posts look for it there and wake the thread up!
I also have a ping list for horse threads that are of interest, and MissTargets will now be pinging everyone most mornings. Let MissTargets and/or me know if you would like to be on the ping list. As FreeRepublic is a political site, our politics and other issues will probably blend in . There are many issues for horsemen that touch politics land use, animal rights/abuse cases that make the news . Legislation that might affect horse owners.
So... like the previous threads, this is intended as fun place to come and share stories, pictures, questions and chit-chat, unguided and unmoderated and that we come together here as friends. There are lots of ways of doing things and we all have our quirks, tricks and specialties that are neat to learn about.

New folk and occasional posters, jump right in and introduce yourselves, tell us about your horses, and post pictures if you've got them!
You might try seeing if he will let you stick his foot in a bucket of warm water with epsom salts. That helps draw out infections.
that's what I thought but tuffy didn't get
any relief. i'm getting worried.
he doesn't mind having his foot soaked. i'll try that.
Next step might be an xray to see if they can see another abscess.
I'm so sorry he's in pain. He's had a rough year trying to get sound hasn't he? And he's been good till this?
Sorry to here about Tuffy. Poor guy.
Modify those T-shirts. "Bob makes house calls. Mastercard/Visa accepted" :')
yes, he's been doing really well. I guess that's why i'm so worried and disappointed.
thanks, cindy.
Hey Becky, check this out, I copy and pasted from lance graves website:
"19 FINALISTS from the GRAVES RANCH at the BBR World Finals in OKC! Congrats to Jason Martin riding Juma Gem wins the BBR 2D World Championship."
I'm so proud of Juma.
AWWW. Congratulations.
I don't know if this jogging is going to work. I think I've pulled a ligament in my knee.
Some neat stuff news though. I got two catalogs in the mail. One is about birthdays, You can get all kinds of toppers. I'm looking at the horse package . It even has a horse pianta. Not sure I would let kids take a stick to it though.
Also I got a catalog I ordered (just looking) of horseback vactions all over the world. The one in Ireland looks really pretty.
Wow - pretty cool!
you're jogging? I can't do that, i'm afraid i'll jar something loose and it will fall out.
wish I could catch him on something televised. I did get some bad news last weekend at the stock show. I ran into the people I sold juma's mother to, they said she died. got tore up during foaling. they acted like they were afraid to tell me.
btw, i've seen those ireland vacation brochures. pretty awesome.
Gosh - that is sad. Did the foal make it?
LOL - I love it. I'm sitting here chuckling, thinking about the design.
Yeah. My school is in a big round office building. My goal is to make it all the way around:')
The one in Kenya, running with the zebras is an eye catcher too. Speaking of zebras... you seen the new Bud commercial with the horses playing football?:')
Still cold, sun is out and the schools are open.
I guess you don't want to hear this but we should be in the high 70's today and back in the 80's tomorrow.
