This is a horse chat thread where we share ideas, ask for input from other horsemen, and talk about our riding and horse-keeping. We have a lot of different kinds of riders and horses, and a lot to share. In the previous threads we have had a great time talking through lessons, training, horse lamenesses, illnesses and pregnancies... and always sharing pictures and stories.
I always have a link to this thread on my profile page, so if you have something to say and can't find the thread in latest posts look for it there and wake the thread up!
I also have a ping list for horse threads that are of interest, and MissTargets will now be pinging everyone most mornings. Let MissTargets and/or me know if you would like to be on the ping list. As FreeRepublic is a political site, our politics and other issues will probably blend in . There are many issues for horsemen that touch politics land use, animal rights/abuse cases that make the news . Legislation that might affect horse owners.
So... like the previous threads, this is intended as fun place to come and share stories, pictures, questions and chit-chat, unguided and unmoderated and that we come together here as friends. There are lots of ways of doing things and we all have our quirks, tricks and specialties that are neat to learn about.

New folk and occasional posters, jump right in and introduce yourselves, tell us about your horses, and post pictures if you've got them!
My Dad is Methodist. If my ancesters knew I wasn't Southern anymore they would be moving right up there with yours:')BRB. Gonna look up Paptist
"Papist", like "mackerel-snapper" or "bead rattler" is a rude name for Catholics. . . .
Sorry:') No wonder I couldn't find it. I kept being led back to Baptists.
. . . his old Baptist church in the remote Alabama countryside was saved by a family trust. We incorporated the church and restored the building (it really is a beautiful building - the oldest church in the county). But it must be the only Baptist church in the country with three Methodists, a Presbyterian, and two Episcopalians (one now a Catholic) on its Board of Directors!
LOL - now I have a friend that would love that one. Maybe for her birthday :)
Did I tell you that Sarah is my cheerleader?
I think I understand "bead rattler", but "mackerel-snapper"? What the heck does that mean?
Sounds to me like, Grandpa Long has yall right where he wants you:')
No you didn't - that's great.
Yeah. She asked me who the cheerleaders were. I told her my school didn't have any. She told me all schools have to have cheerleaders. I'm going to get her an outfit somewhere.
I sure hope you get pictures of this :)
But of course. I get lots of pics. Getting them Posted though. That is another subject.
Just renewed Bob's AERC membership (Endurance Riding). I'm expecting him to ride with Lori this fall. She should be recovered from the kidney transplant enough by then to hit a short one.
She get the transplant after all?
No she hasn't had it yet but I want to be ready.
Her's is the 7th. She will be 6.
Jason's is the 5th, Adam's is the 6th. :)
How about that. We will have 3 birthdays in a roll.
Well, I'm off to bed. Have a good night.
