Yeah, I've heard people say that it's just as much work going down as up. I think I often try to get the horse to be more careful going down. But the part about it being just as much of a workout is just not true. ;~)
Boy, you said it there! More people need to heed those words. I'll bet she turns out to be a very successful young lady.
It's amazing what having to get up at 5am to get ready for work will do to your desire for partying, at least for me. I need my beauty sleep! ;o)
Someplace like the Kentucky Horse Park would be another option, where the public would be able to visit.
Thanks. I think he thinks he's king of his world anyway. :)
That was a nice tribute post over on the Barbaro thread. But I can't believe how many @$$holes there are over there, just wanting to belittle and make fun of anybody who has any kind of feelings towards animals at all. They're a prime example of why so many people like animals better than people anyways.
Heh.... yup :~) Thanks.
So many things, I would like to post to those, as Frog called them @$$holes . But, it is better that I keep my thoughts to myself. It just makes me sick that every darn animal thread, has to have people mention abortion and Terri Shivao. If it wasn't for the Saddle Club thread, I probably wouldn't even check this site anymore.
Just dropped in for a break. I'm doing abortion posts on a Rudy thread. (ducking) lol.
I'm kind of bummed this evening for some reason. I'm craving drive-ins:')
I've been having rather pointless arguments also... But I'm right in mine ;~D
(I like Rudy)
Hey Duchess, did you hear about that 84 y/o couple that won 254 million dollars?
I like Rudy too.
I'm right too (grin)
No I didn't hear about it. That is so cool - what a great way to spend the end years of your life, do anything you want :)
Good morning:)
Very cold here:(
About Barbaro threads: I almost mentioned here yesterday how "interesting:)" it was to see the rabbit trails the Barbaro threads could take....shaking head. Personally, I have kept my opinions on the topic of Barbaro to myself, I don't think they are popular, but my opinions have nothing to do with abortion, Shiavo, caring for animals over God's people, if his owners did it for love of the horse or money, etc. All that is just so irrelevant, it's beyond me how people can relate those topics all together.
About Rudy:), not my favorite. About the only thing I can say for him is he might be better then McCain, (but even that is debatable for me).
Frog: I've been meaning to tell you, Jenny is loving the first book of that series you recommended. She doesn't get to read much, so it will take her awhile to finish, but she told me the other day she can't wait to finish so I can read it. She said at first it was a bit hard reading, but now she is use to the authors style and is liking it a lot better. Thanks again for the reference:)
Becky
After I come back from a doctor's appt this morning, I am going to haul in some firewood. The wall is just about finished. Good thing it is, the weather is going to be very cold.
Thank goodness for this thread. I'll echo what's already been said about those with their personal agendas inserting them into every thread, regardless of the thread's subject. They make me crazy.
Hopefully Barbaro's legacy is that of a positive contribution to equine veterinary science and generations to follow will benefit. The burial choices the Jackson's have are interesting. Home is very comforting but Churchill Downs is quite an honor.
I just got back from the horses. No riding for me today. I guess I'm acting like a city slicker but mud is everywhere. I haven't rode sarah lee since this cold front and I need to put her in the round pen and arena 1st and they are a mess.
