I was reading the 23rd Psalm the other night and realized how much I can relate to it being a prayer of thanksgiving. I revised it a little bit, and I will say it as prayer on Thanksgiving. I thought you might like it.
[A remake of the Psalm of David.]
Thank you, Jesus, for everything.
For you truly are my shepherd, and all of my needs are met.
You have given me soft green fields to sleep in: You have lead me to still, peaceful lakes.
You have restored my soul to new. Any righteousness I have done is because You have guided me there.
Yes, even when I have been so close to death as to have been in its shadow, I had no fear of evil: for you, Jesus, have been with me; your word and your Spirit, they comfort me.
You have given me a feast in front of those who wish me harm: You have blessed me as though I am royalty; my cup is full and running over.
Most assuredly your goodness and mercy have been with me all the days of my life: and I look forward to living in the house of the LORD for ever. Thank you Jesus.
Hello ScubieNuc, very nice indeed.
Thank you and it's good to see you.
Happy Thanksgiving to you and yours.
