Such is part of rhetoric and oratory...
BTW: Thanks for the heads-up on the Return of GE. Doesn't seem like he learned anything while he was away. Come to think of it, I don't even know how long he was away; could'a been a weekend, for all I know.
He's back now, though, and (over)compensating as much as ever.
There was a website about two years ago that was embedded in a WAV file. If you played the WAV, MediaPlayer would tell you "Acquiring Licenses" for as long as you let it keep going. Nothing ever played, but the entire time you were being told "Acquiring Licenses" the embedded website was being accessed and dumping, and activating, malware all over your hard drive. The site's gone; ISP shut it down. Wish I could find another to "proof" some peoples' claims to invulnerability.
Our IT staff isolated that WAV it on a laptop that was in line to be wiped and reimaged. They let it run for five minutes before they yanked the network cable. It would not reboot. They booted it using a diagnostic CD, and found nearly 500 instances of spyware, viruses, worms and other assorted nastygrams.
This was done on a bigtime corporate LAN, behind the firewall, running the latest and greatest McAffee Virus Scan Enterprise with up-to-date DAT files. In spite of all that, it was totally OWNED in seconds.
