If by that you mean he won't have eternal life (because the wages of sin is death) it will be God's 'strange act'...and I don't imagine there'll be much joy in it (his death)....will sentence him (and even the righteous will scarcely be saved, remember) to eternal death.
The idea of eternal hell & suffering causes many to reject God. Naturally, since it is a lie of Satan. Try Ecclesiastes 9:5....and 9:10.
It is possible to be a Christian, and not believe in Hell (as eternal suffering). Pity him, yes.
I will use the whole council of God's word including "... where the beast and the false prophet are, and shall be tormented day and night for ever and ever." Rev 20:10 and the words of Christ - "to go to hell, into the fire that shall never be quenched—— 44 "where ‘Their worm does not die, And the fire is not quenched.’ Mk 9:43
In addition the earliest teachings of the apostolic church including Polycarp the disciple of St. John. I think your exegesis is way too weak to simply say "lie of the Devil".
