AMERICA - The Right Way!! (Day 1906) [Remember the Trade Center!!]
Various News Sources and FReepers | April 11, 2006 | All of Us

Posted on 04/11/2006 4:48:24 AM PDT by Chairman_December_19th_Society

We will not tire, we will not falter, and we will not fail!

Good morning!!

Do not let the victims of the attacks on New York and Washington, nor the brave members of our Nation's military who have given their lives to protect our freedom, die in vain!!

What a sight. Across the United States, the power of the Federal Government to secure its borders was shown to be totally impotent as illegals marched alongside citizens also marching for their "rights". Signs abounded across The Mall in Washington--"I built your home", "we are America", "let us stay".

Ok, they had their turn. Now it's ours.

First and foremost, to the question of whether they should stay or not, that one is simple--if you arrived in this country and continue to maintain your presence legally, then welcome! You have earned the right to stay, be prosporous, free, and happy.

On the other hand, if you chose to trash our laws, then you do not belong, and you should go home. Or the United States Government, if it can ever find the will to protect itself, should send you home.

Thus the paradox has been established. On the one hand, the United States says it is a sovereign power and is entitled to the one thing that separates sovereign from subordinate powers--the ability to count people. Intrinsic in this right to take a census is the ability to control the equation, that is, secure the Nation's borders.

Yet, the borders are not secure. In fact, the borders are so insecure that it is almost a roadway of sorts headed north from Mexico into our heartland. Hundreds are streaming in daily. It is estimated that almost ten million have simply walked into the United States from Mexico without paperwork or ceremony over the last decade. It is from these that the late protests are born.

One can suppose that at a fundamental level, people should be free to choose where they live, and by and large we welcome those who choose to live here. But hospitality has its limits. Indeed, as host, this country has the non-revocable right to determine who can stay and who should leave.

Is there a system that is foolproof, of course not--in fact, there are those who like to point out that the September 11th attackers were here legally. Yes, they were, but so what? Does anyone know who has run in across the southern border? Can anyone say with certainty that terrorists have not crept into the territory of the United States? Indeed, we have a much lower chance of finding that out if they enter illegally.

The left is wont to point out, however, that these people simply want to make a living, earn some money for them and their family. This is the point of the guest worker program the President offers up. The problem remains, however, in determining who gets to stay and who doesn't. A significant, though a small minority, number of illegals in the country are those who simply overstayed their visas. "Guest worker permits" are nothing more than a visa by another name--another paper that doesn't address the "who stays and who doesn't?" question. Quite the opposite; it says "come on in, we have even less enforcement than we did before".

The left is also quick to point out that citizenship should be available to those who work in this country and who have not broken our laws. The left, apparently, forgets one basic fact.

EVERY ILLEGAL ALIEN BROKE THE LAW THE MOMENT THEY SET FOOT ON AMERICAN SOIL!

But that matters not, the left has become so corrupt in their quest for a return to power, and to cement permanent power, that any potential vote counts.

But why should the left stop with just the illegals in this country? If they crave votes, why not create a "guest voter" program? Oh, wait, they already have that, what with some liberal precincts reporting over 100% turnout in some elections--must be the guests.

In the end, it's still the same. We have an issue with immigration that is screaming to be fixed, but in the process of getting there, a fundamental maxim needs to be observed: "no legal benefits for illegal acts!"

Otherwise, we might as well just say "forget the border, it's merely a line on the map."

And it won't be that much longer if we don't stand up for our sovereignity. While we may debate the various offers up for new immmigration policies, there is one now. And as has been said, the law is the law until the law is changed.

Send the illegals home.

For AMERICA - The Right Way, I remain yours in the Cause, the Chairman.

Good morning!

Aleve is our friend. And in this case, there is no shame in taking advantage of friends.

So true.

Rep Steve King from Iowa has a good solution for the immigration issue/problem/dilemna. Every company match the salary they pay to a valid Social Security number or they don't receive the tax break for that employee. Simple.

I was listening to the local NPR talk show today, and they had several hispanic leaders on the show... one from LULAC, a journalist, and some other person. I was really suprised by the journalist (3rd generation Texan) and the LULAC rep (5th generation Texan). They were LIVID about the mexican flags at the rally in Dallas. They said that it was completely inappropriate to wave the flag of a foreign country when marching for rights in THIS country. They also addressed the bi-lingual issue. The journalist was most adamant about "This is America, don't ask me to translate a test for you... Learn english".

I don't know whether they truly represent the majority of hispanics, but what they were saying is what I've heard said by about 75% of the kitchen staffs that I've worked with, and most kitchen staffs here are 98% hispanic.

I agree with the jounalist. If you live in this country learn the language and learn to read it. It really put gravel in my girdle when I was an Election Judge, when I had to find a spanish speaker. I did get a spanish speaker, then found out she couldn't read spanish. I kept her anyway. Welllll she spoke spanish.

I can't understand how anyone can't read spanish after a couple of hours of instruction. There are no special cases, as in English. Once you know how to pronounce the letters, you can read spanish, even if you have NO idea what you are saying. It is very literal, like Hebrew with the vowel marks. It always sounds the same. (except for JVH, which is pronounced, in Hebrew, as 'Adoni', out of respect for the name of God).

Good evening, friends. I'm well. Had a checkup with all the goodies.

Right now all that is available is respite care...good enough until the real thing comes along. Plus..isn't it funny how her other sister has now offered to watch her?

Thanks for all your prayers. I love you all. In fact I take her there tomorrow and she stays until Monday...then off to the other sister's.

Not much we can do for a real nursing home for about 6 months. Darn! At least it opened people's eyes.

Thanks for update Lysie. I hope those times with others are relatively smooth & you wont get constant calls etc. You would like her perhaps to be her "yukky" self, but that would no doubt precipitate shorter visits & a lot of calls of help to you from them, which would NOT be much of a respite.

What he should have given you is a hammer for when she gets agitated ... *grins*

Thanks for checking in, sweetie. I was getting concerned.

Oh lysie, thank goodness. Frankly, can't you put her name on several lists in order to expedite the home with proper senior care?

At least the doctor is well aware. How are YOU?
