Do not let the victims of the attacks on New York and Washington, nor the brave members of our Nation's military who have given their lives to protect our freedom, die in vain!!
The news this morning is immigration and how it should be handled. I will try to keep this space as dispassioned as possible, but when the protestors carry symbobls such as this...
...it is hard to maintain a cool state.
Around 500,000 marched in Dallas, TX, for the rights of illegal aliens. Yes, the same folks who would want us to have sympathy for those people use such symbols as the American flag in distress and are brazen in their attempts to provoke.
Meanwhile, in St. Louis--this is 1,000 miles from Mexico(!!)--protestors seeking status for the illegals, or maybe the illegals themselves, are not carrying an American flag, but the flag of the invaders...
Other demonstrations took place in New Mexico, Minnesota (2,000 miles from Mexico!), Michigan, Iowa, Alabama, Utah, Oregon, Idaho, and California.
Meanwhile, a group calling themselves the "Border Guardians" burned a Mexican flag in front of the Mexican Consulate in Tuscon.
Then there is to be a protest today on The Mall in Washington, and get this: students from the Montgomery county, MD, school district who attend the event GET CREDIT!
In many cities today, in a National Day of Action, there will be protests. These will occur in such places as Washington, DC; Los Angeles, CA; Boston, MA; Fort Lauderdale, FL; Bakersfield, CA; Fort Myers, FL; Hays, KS; Oxford, OH.
Organizers intend to have people carry the flags of their "home" countries--not the flag of America.
But the overriding question in all of this? WHERE IS THE INS??

Now, I am a patient person, and we paid for her entire undergrad degree (and are still paying off one loan, might I add). She has a HUSBAND who could get a higher-paying job, or she could herself work more hours, and SHE was the one who took out the loan, which at 4% is better than ANY loan she could get just walking into a bank asking for unsecured credit!!!
I calmly explained all of this and then said I had to get off the phone and get some work done. I am SO steamed.
I did NOT raise a whiner, and since she is in a library science program I am certain that she is hearing this at the school. Grrrr.
I am now going to go pick up my grandkids, who had by golly better not whine to me today! LOL!
I've been working outside here. I came in for about 15 - 20 minutes. Then, more yard work.
You promised me a trip today.....we stopping at McDonalds?

I'm glad the recruiter couldn't see my face when she told me what the hourly rate was expected to be. She might have dropped it considerably. And she acted like she was breaking bad news.

ABG, not only did skeey serve in Vietnam, I've heard he was a 3-purple heart hero, plus he received a SILVER STAR WITH A V and because of his injuries and bravery he was allowed to leave Vietnam early.

Roomey heard skerry and the wall speak. He almost came unglued. Roomey arrived in VN the same day skerry did, and when he read in skerry's book about his fire fight at Cam Rhan Bay, he spoke really loud,"Kerry is a liar", and he said it in Barnes and Noble. People turned and looked at him, a couple fellows came over and asked why he said that, Roomey showed them, page 160, and they both laughed, they had been in the Army there at that time, no firefight.
Then Roomey showed them the part where he talked about the morgue and the bodies stacked up outside it, there was none, it was in Saigon. They all just shook their heads and laughed.
You can't imagine how I hate false accusations.

The DA says the rape case isn't all about DNA and still plans to proceed, which I find hard to believe. There wasn't even any of the team member's DNA under her fingernails and no sign of rape either.
If I were those boys, I'd sue somebody. They have been trashed and threatened, all thanks to an out of control DA who didn't even given them the benefit of a doubt.
