LOL

Hey, like I said, "from scratch" does not happen often around here.:)

Prepared, pre-formed, heck, PRE-BAKED works for me.:)

I watched the chicken video.

Was that Terry Bradshaw impersonating Ed McMahon?

I was just watching that clip, too. Terry Bradshaw was funnier than the woman! Why didn't they just let the chicken stay dead and eat him? It's a chicken! funny clip.

We were out of baking soda so I had to punt.

From a professional point of view... I'm not sure how you did that. Some things can't be substituted. I'm assuming the recipe had baking powder as well as baking soda... or it would be flat as a crepe.

Krikey, ladies.... I've been working on a blue mold ripened cheese since late last night.... nurturing it along it's way, taking care of each stage... setting an alarm to wake me to stir, or change a temperature by a couple of degrees....

I'd like to see something from scratch from each of you by next week. 8>)

Peach - don't you usually rent out your house during the Masters? Haven't heard about that this year.

Especially when you're using a pencil clenched between your teeth to do the typing.

I'm feeling beaten down. Ready to give up.

It's been a long week, and I'm ready to sleep.

I won't. But that's what I want to do.

Sorry about the MIL joke. I broke that rule once. It didn't end well. I shouldn't have been snippy.

Cookie baking is NOT my forte', it is so boooorrrring. So I opt for these. Roomey needs cookies every once in awhile. So I crank up the oven, open the freezer, pull out the package of preformend cookies, shake a little flour on my front and cheek, and he thinks I'm a great cookie maker. I guess I can be referred to as a Domestic Cookie Goddess. And you the Box Cake Domestic Cake Goddess. Ain't we great?

It wasn't the MIL joke. I feel that way about it, too.

No, the clue was your remark to Dog. It was kinda funny, but also not really your usual style.

Listen, you have the right to be upset and depressed. You put a lot of energy into the job hunt, it looked very promising and then, wham! out of the blue things didn't work out.

It takes time to pick yourself up after a disappointment like that. You're not a quiter and you'll keep hunting. But you are entitled to be sad for a day because this one didn't work.

You'll find something. I know you will. You have nothing to apologize for.

Splash a little flour on your nose, forhead and cheeks. It will add a little staging to your act.

Home safe ... :-)

We ran into NO stormy weather at all and virtually no rain, though it was cloudy most of the way (which can be a blessing when driving, especially when heading west in the late afternoon).

But shortly before we got to the house, the sun suddenly broke through the clouds on the western horizon and we saw the most spectacular rainbow I have EVER seen. I've never seen one so vivid or so wide ... and it was a full semi-circle ... as was the paler one along side it.

It was truly spectacular ... and we are kicking ourselves for not having the camera with us.

Got to throw something together for us to eat now. BBL.
