That sounds like JT is serious! Good for him about the discussion with the father, even though this may not be to the marriage stage yet.

The Coopster actually had the talk with the father before he proposed. Impressed the future father-in-law and I myself was impressed that he did that.

It is sweet to see a young man have a talk with the father.

As I recall, when I was 18, Gene (former father-in-law) pulled me off to the side (by my collar), pinned me to the garage wall, and started the conversation with: "Listen up, you snot-nosed little son of {approx 30 minutes redacted} and then you are getting married. Any questions?"

Young love is so romantic... ;>)

JT is very open and honest with his relationships. I don't think it is serious (leading to marriage) yet, but he wants the family of the girl to know him and know that he has honorable intentions. He trys to treat the ladies he is with in the way he wants me and his sisters to be treated.

He says also, that the guys who are interested in his sisters need to clear it with him first! Iraq isn't THAT far away!

That is impressive of The Coopster. You raised him right.
