We will not tire, we will not falter, and we will not fail!
Good morning!!
Do not let the victims of the attacks on New York and Washington, nor the brave members of our Nation's military who have given their lives to protect our freedom, die in vain!!
Last week, this space wrote about illegal immigration, and it's time, based on the events in Los Angeles, for a follow-up.
Yesterday we were treated to images of protests of hundreds of thousands against felonizing illegal immigrations (first question--it isn't a felony now?). The media made it look like these were spontaneous demonstrations, but, with the exception of crowd size, they are not. They are part of an orchestrated effort against immigration reform that is meant to go on for another couple of weeks and is being fometed by, among other parties, organized labor.
Indeed, the only element in the LA protests that was not planned was size; that did capture even organizers by size. But the message delivered to people was a lie: Congress wants to limit immigration is what folks were told. All right, it's partly a lie, which makes it good propaganda, and it did work quite well.
What folks apparently don't understand is the thing Congress wants to curb is ILLEGAL immigration. If you are here legally, or you want to come here legally, that's all cool, we're only focused on those that shouldn't have been here in the first place.
Moreover, this is a group of folks that, by virtue of the way they came here, have already shown a total disrespect for our laws. In fact, the demonstrations in Los Angeles support this contention. The activity continues, despite truency laws, despite laws prohibiting pedestrians on freeways, and so on.
Real simple--are these the type of folks we want to have on a permanent basis?
For AMERICA - The Right Way, I remain yours in the Cause, the Chairman.
Hope all goes smoothly for you tomorrow.
"Going down to meet with the Presidentof Mexico and the Prime Minister in Cancun. No Speedo for me! Thankfully."
Are they still cleaning up from Katrina?
Nice to be back.
Do any of us believe our esteemed presstitutes have the cajones to report the truth? NO! They can only tell us how wrong we American are, how terrible our country is, and how wonderful it is to speak, spanish, chinese, various dialects of indian, or whatever. Well I for one have been quite upset that as an election judge I needed a spanish speaker because an American of mexican descent might come in and wouldn't be able to read the ballot. How could that person live in this country for at least 5 years and not learn English? Well if you can't read English you can't vote. It's as simple as that.
LOL, the dogs put them there?
Me too, take one out of the machine and put another one it. Oh me, house work is so exciting.
I use housework as a time for "deep thoughts." LOL!
Leaving for a while. Back later this evening.
See you later.
I'm not going much of anywhere. I'm still pretty much tied to my desk waiting for somthing to happen or someone to need me.
A colleague is complaining about his ankle. Says we've got bad weather headed this way. My feet are beginning to burn, so he must be correct.
I'm taking a break from gardening. Guess what? My dad came over here today and walked around the garden with me! That was very good. His ankles are still very swollen, especially the right one. That was the one which was complex. Overall though, he is doing great!
Have y'all been following the updates on Gavin's thread? He was hit by a drunk driver a little over a week ago. Last night it was announced that he SPOKE! Very very good news.
Lysie, you are in my thoughts today as you meet with the lawyer. Did it go okay?
I'm heading back outside for more gardening. I'll answer replies tonight.
Good News about your Dad's improvement. Wishing the very best for him.
Here it is..........AND.....looks like he'll be home a day or two sooner than I thought!!
"Hey mom, what's new-i'm getting pretty excited to get up & out of here. While us medics are all taking turns on leave, the two remaining guys (me & oody right now) have to work 12 on 12 off every day. Kinda sucks, but there's really no other way. So as you can imagine, i'm getting pretty sick of wearing this uniform every day.Today we went out & reconned a site to land a blackhawk. On saturday we're supposed to be doing an air mission drill complete with casualties & dustoff medevac. It'll prolly be fun, i've done it a couple of times before but never in the desert.. i can imagine it will get pretty sandy... It's getting warmer here but still not TOO hot. at the hottest it's hit 100 degrees in the sun, maybe the lower 90s in the shade. I would go on longer about what's new, but of course, there really isn't anything.. so, so long, only 7 days left- see you soon- Evan"
I'm getting error messages and can't reply..will see if this works...
;^)
Anyway, am editing my post slightly as a result from what it was when I attempted it first......
A Nawthun boy?? :-))
We heard Frederica von Stade and Samuel Ramey perform last night....sets of French art songs...Gershwin, Copland...a delight to see them, but probably safe to say, that their careers are winding down, altho I think Ramey is the younger...he had too much vibrato in his lower range, which is low indeed. OTOH, I heard none on the dreaded vibrato in her voice...
That's what I figured! YOU're the culprit! LOL! okay, back later, maybe...
