We will not tire, we will not falter, and we will not fail!
Good morning!!
Do not let the victims of the attacks on New York and Washington, nor the brave members of our Nation's military who have given their lives to protect our freedom, die in vain!!
Last week, this space wrote about illegal immigration, and it's time, based on the events in Los Angeles, for a follow-up.
Yesterday we were treated to images of protests of hundreds of thousands against felonizing illegal immigrations (first question--it isn't a felony now?). The media made it look like these were spontaneous demonstrations, but, with the exception of crowd size, they are not. They are part of an orchestrated effort against immigration reform that is meant to go on for another couple of weeks and is being fometed by, among other parties, organized labor.
Indeed, the only element in the LA protests that was not planned was size; that did capture even organizers by size. But the message delivered to people was a lie: Congress wants to limit immigration is what folks were told. All right, it's partly a lie, which makes it good propaganda, and it did work quite well.
What folks apparently don't understand is the thing Congress wants to curb is ILLEGAL immigration. If you are here legally, or you want to come here legally, that's all cool, we're only focused on those that shouldn't have been here in the first place.
Moreover, this is a group of folks that, by virtue of the way they came here, have already shown a total disrespect for our laws. In fact, the demonstrations in Los Angeles support this contention. The activity continues, despite truency laws, despite laws prohibiting pedestrians on freeways, and so on.
Real simple--are these the type of folks we want to have on a permanent basis?
For AMERICA - The Right Way, I remain yours in the Cause, the Chairman.
Hi Mozie - I'm so excited for you that Ev is coming home on leave soon!
I have been quite sick the past week so haven't been here much even to lurk. Got an antibiotic today so hope to start feeling better soon.
Our weather has been very spring like. 55 degrees today with sunshine. Tulips are coming up - snow is gone. My husband can't wait to get out and work in the yard.
I'm sorry to hear you haven't been feeling well and I hope the meds kick in soon.
Thanks, Granny. I hope the meds kick in soon also. I am tired of being sick. Spring is here and there is much to do.
Hope you have been well.
I have been fighting the remenents of a cold, but all in all, I am well.
I am going close down for the night. I hope we see you again here, soon, Belle.
That is good news about your Dad Jemian. So happy to hear a couple of broken ankles aren't going to stop him, No Siree.
Mozie, that is wonderful news.
Miss M, my thoughts during house cleaning are pretty deep too, expecially when I'm cleaning a tub or the toity. Real deep.
What is TOO MUCH FReeping? HUH?
Oh my, he said it just right and that has made me happy.
No such thing.:)
p.s. It's supposed to be 62 here tomorrow!!
Prayers lifted for your family jtill.
Oh 62 degrees are nice. It's become warm and humid here, because of our rain, and we're supposed to get more. Good for the garden.
Guess I'll sign off. Till tomorrow, Stay safe, stay warm and sleep well. nite all.
Good night, till.:)
Greetings, y'all. I forgot to tell you that when Dad was here, I was able to pick for him about 10 asparagus sprouts. The first of the season.
Yesterday, I was walking through our woods to a grassy terrace where we have some white azaelas in bloom. There, getting nectar from one of the blooms, was a beautiful yellow butterfly. The first one of the season.
Today, I mucked out a barn and all of that work and then got a lot of weed pulling and vine pulling in the yard. I have decided to take up almost all of the english ivy which has taken up home here. It is a major undertaking.
And hubby, began cutting bamboo and building the frame for our blueberry bushes. The idea is to have this frame over which we'll drap bird netting. That way we'll get the blueberries this year. Last year, we had NONE.
62 is good.
(((lysie))) Love and prayers sent your way.
Any word on our ex-friend?
Thank you, Mozie. I'm hoping the meds will do their work. There have been quite a few of us here who have not felt well the past few months.
How long will Ev be home? A couple of weeks? Hope the weather is great while he is here. At least it will be cooler than where he is now.
Not that I know of.
