AMERICA - The Right Way!! (Day 1893) [Remember the Trade Center!!]
Various News Sources and FReepers | March 29, 2006 | All of Us

Posted on 03/29/2006 5:02:09 AM PST by Chairman_December_19th_Society

We will not tire, we will not falter, and we will not fail!

Good morning!!

Do not let the victims of the attacks on New York and Washington, nor the brave members of our Nation's military who have given their lives to protect our freedom, die in vain!!

Last week, this space wrote about illegal immigration, and it's time, based on the events in Los Angeles, for a follow-up.

Yesterday we were treated to images of protests of hundreds of thousands against felonizing illegal immigrations (first question--it isn't a felony now?). The media made it look like these were spontaneous demonstrations, but, with the exception of crowd size, they are not. They are part of an orchestrated effort against immigration reform that is meant to go on for another couple of weeks and is being fometed by, among other parties, organized labor.

Indeed, the only element in the LA protests that was not planned was size; that did capture even organizers by size. But the message delivered to people was a lie: Congress wants to limit immigration is what folks were told. All right, it's partly a lie, which makes it good propaganda, and it did work quite well.

What folks apparently don't understand is the thing Congress wants to curb is ILLEGAL immigration. If you are here legally, or you want to come here legally, that's all cool, we're only focused on those that shouldn't have been here in the first place.

Moreover, this is a group of folks that, by virtue of the way they came here, have already shown a total disrespect for our laws. In fact, the demonstrations in Los Angeles support this contention. The activity continues, despite truency laws, despite laws prohibiting pedestrians on freeways, and so on.

Real simple--are these the type of folks we want to have on a permanent basis?

For AMERICA - The Right Way, I remain yours in the Cause, the Chairman.

Yeah, real neat like, I was so sure the dogs got them that I failed to look inside my shack, there they were nice and neat on a small table.

I just hung a cowbell on the post on the front porch of me shack, it is my doorbell.

Lysie, you are in my thoughts today as you meet with the lawyer. Did it go okay?

Thanks, Jem.

Yes, it went well. The assistance will be there, however, it will take a while. He suggested putting her name on a waiting list. She now is.

I'm so glad y'all are taking this step, lysie.

Either she will adjust to the new environment and be happier than she has been in a long time or she will be miserable because that's what she chooses to be. But she's miserable now ... and inflicting her misery on your family ... so there's no loss for her either way and your family wins either way.

Now that this decision has been made and the ball is rolling, promise me there will be no looking back or second-guessing. OK?!!

(((((lysie)))))

Thanks. I have to admit. I was so upset when I got in the car I almost barfed...several times.

This may take some time, but at least the ball is rolling. G is really pushing this more than I am.

Bev wanted this to be posted but she is having a busy day.

He'll never know
Inside the Beltway will greatly miss the many contributions from former newspaperman and Ronald Reagan political adviser Lyn Nofziger, who died this week at age 81.
Apart from politicking, Mr. Nofziger told us he found immense enjoyment penning and publishing poetry, which he accomplished under the nom de plume of Joy Skilmer.
Our favorite verse of hundreds, its subject matter still holding true today, is borrowed from Mr. Nofziger's book, "Unbridled Joy":

I wonder if we'll ever see
A country that is Clinton-free,
A time when Hillary and Bill
Have left us and gone o'er the hill,
A time when they don't think they're meant,
Each one, to be our president,
To tell us all what's best for us,
Defy us then to make a fuss,
To insist they're meant to rule us,
Sure, as always, they can fool us,
A time when they at last have quit,
Their drinking from the public teat,
When Bill no longer wags his jaw,
Instead, goes home to Arkansas,
And Hillary no longer runs
But takes to baking hot cross buns.

You and Bev just gave me a shot of "Unbridled Joy".

What a fun, too true poem. Mr. Nofziger was a genius. May he rest in peace.

S-I-L is now in a convalescent home and should be there for a few days. She is doing well and moving around some. Once they got her in the operating room, they decided that the hip was in good shape and so they pinned it (I think that's the term). Her brother calls her every night, and she isn't complaining, so she's happy with where she is and how she's healing.

My daughter is having additional tests - second opinion. The workup is being done through the U of M, where she works in the kidney dialysis unit. If I never told you, she's an RN - if I did, consider this sentence redundant.

She's feeling much better about the diagnosis after attending a "workshop" with five or six other women and their husbands. RN's and several women who are long term survivors of breast cancer were on hand to speak and answer questions. They also showed a film - she didn't tell me what it was about, but I'm assuming that it has to do with the surgery and recovery.

Each woman then met with a panel of 5 doctors to discuss their individual cases. She said that she will probably have surgery in two weeks. They need to complete the new biopsies and do some procedure or other that determines if there is metastases and whether or not a full mastectomy is necessary.

Now that I've written a book, I could have just said that she is feeling more confident about the process and looking forward to the surgery. Got long winded, I did.
