i'm given to understand that its 20 US Divisions, 14 British divisions, 3 Canadian divisions and one each from France and Poland.

I'm having trouble hunting down the exact numbers, and don't have a lot of time for it as well. According to this site my Nazi numbers were low as well. This article claims 46 Nazi infantry divisions in France and 9 Panzer divisions But doesn't clearly state the number of Allied divisions.

Perhaps raw numbers would be better, according to this article there were "more than" 150,000 Allied troops invading, with 850,000 Nazi troops in France. Take out 50% or so of Americans (plus all of our other irreplaceable support) and it's about 75,000 Allied troops against 850,000 Nazis.

Clearly German power wasn't going to go away any time soon.
