How late is it going to go?

*yawn*

I think I'm headed for bed, too. Got a book to read until I'm too sleepy. And then I get to hope I can actually sleep. There are people setting off firecrackers and such out there.

Bear! Where are ya! The 6s are coming up!

Though...maybe that isn't a number anyone wants...

Depends on how many cautions there are. I'm guessing at least 2 more hours.

You deserve 'em!

BTW, how can I possibly wait until September to see more Lost?

Have you watched all of the first season episodes?

I found an interesting troop support web site. Free Zapp's flavoring packets mailed to APOs and FPOs. It should appeal to the Bandits, so I put in their CSM's name as a test. Zapp's military potato chip site

I think this is a great idea, but then again, I think any kind of troop support is a great idea. Zapps also asks for donations, since it costs them 70 cents for mailing each item.

I called their toll-free number, thinking to donate a few bucks in the name of the Hobbit Hole. Then I realized it would be even better if we could buy some of their packets, and slip them in with knife shipments at no cost to Zapps.

I spoke to three very nice people, including two managers. I could tell by the stuned silence on the other end of the line that they had no idea of what I wanted, and no concept of how to help. I'll try again this week.

All of this reinforces my admiration for Camillus Cutlery, were I went from general-contact email to talking to the government sales manager in under 24 hours. They may have thought I sounded crazy in my first email, but they got it to somebody who could make things happen.

Pray that I have the same luck with Gerber, because I'd love to carry their survival knife in addition to the Camillus line.

Morning!

Fell asleep during the race but woke up in time to see the end.

Had egg and bacon (on a slightly over-toasted hamburger roll) for breakfast. Miss Cat has been gooped and I'm fixing to watch Dr. Who. It's raining here. Maybe I don't have to mow today after all. :) [sip]

Good morning!

We drugged the dogs shortly before dark last night but it was quiet.... very quiet. Either it's not really the 4th of July weekend or they're saving it all.

Heard a few firecrackers last night. Guess they're saving it up for later but it's supposed to rain tonight and tomorrow.

Luckily it doesn't spook Miss Cat unless it's really close.

*Sigh* I couldn't get the clamps loose...ended up putting shims between the top of the effluent pipe and the joist.

Guess I should go out and rake up leaves now.

Good Morning - up and at early, first time been on-line; Gypsy walked, multidinous cups of morning elixer. Since the Church down the street is on 'holiday schedule', no early service etc., the lawn was mowed. It apparently woke up the neighbor that had been imbibing and noisemaking last nite. Although we were very cheerful, he appeared less than pleased at the 'early' hour our activities started. heh-heh.

Hair - glad the noise level was down where it should be, we had to go the 'mellow doggie route' with Samantha. We'll see what happens tonight and tomorrow nite. So far so good with Gypsygirl.

OT - glad you saw the end of the Race. We didn't get a drop of rain, but the front did push through by us, just no rain again. Series bummer on the clamp(s). Did you try the liquied wrench on the screw assembly.

I don't know which is worse, Gidget barking like a mad dog, or Homer crawling in our lap and clawing at us. ;~D

In past years there's been more prelim. testing and playing with the fireworks... we haven't had any of that. I don't know why, but I don't think it means they've given them up. I'll expect them when I see them!

No. Didn't try the liquid wrench equivalet. The screw heads were damaged and my philips head couldn't get a grip.
