Pierce Brosnan will play James Bond in the next 007 film, co-star Dame Judi Dench has revealed
The 51-year-old will reprise his role as the suave secret agent in Casino Royale, she said.
'Despite the fact that everyone on the face of the Earth has been tested as his possible replacement, Pierce will be doing it again,' added Dench, who plays M in the movies.
'It will be announced come the summer.'
(memo to self): Close the bloody tags, you idiot. Sheesh.
Most would agree Connery set the standard.
Ironically, the character's creator contempuously referred to him as "that snorting lorry driver" (Connery was a milkman before he went into acting).

Well, much of Hollywood got its start in that fashion...even Harrison Ford was a carpenter by trade, before stepping into the utopian wealth and world of Hollywood...
Bummer. I have the firm conviction that actors should leave their voices to the silver screen and not out in public.
But I thought that guy who looked like a Russian ballet dancer, forget his name, had been picked to replace Brosnan?
I thought so as well. This might be Judy Dench electioneering for Brosnan.
"Whew! I'm sooooooooooooooo relieved."
I could have tolerated ". . .soooooooooooooo relieved."
But adding that additional "o" is abolutely uncalled for.
My version is "who was the second actor to play James Bond?"
I'm laughing now as I read your post. Tooooo funny. Uh-oh, there goes another one to many o's. :) Thanks for the laugh. :)
I think that guy took himself out of the running.
Thank God!
I suppose Sean Connery must be too obvious, therefore it's not he. No idea.
That's the point. because Barry Nelson isn't known, it's "Roger Moore ,.. no, George Lazenby ... no, David Niven")
