Her rights and wishes are being denied, but some would let her die privately rather that fight for her life publicly. Go figure!

Who will take an action item to file a complaint of Senior Abuse? State is in Alabama.Mae is in the hospice in GA, not Alabama.
To: nicmarlo
nic,
Can you please call the attorney and find out who he is representing?
Schmelvin can give you the phone number, it might be in Post#106 or Bykerbayb's Post #146.
I gotta feel that you would be the right person to get through and fid out.
We dont' ahve much time here, Mae has been starving for is it 2 weeks(?) and she only got a bit of fluids when the brother and sister found out that the granddaughter did not have Medical Power of Attorney.

"There's another distinction. Had it not been for tv, we would not have been able to see Terri move her head, or follow the balloon with her eyes. We got to see something with our own eyes."
Her state of being is undeniably debatable. But, 2 minutes of highly edited video out of 4 hours is hardly enough to make a resonable decision about her abilities.
It's like you smash your finger and there's a reaction. I can't tell what you feel only you can. If the uppper part of your brain is gone, as the evidences suggest in Terri's case, it's purely a reflexive reaction and there is no way to tell if she actally "felt" it without other information.
It comes down to was there a cause and effect or was the response merely associative...a coincidence...or the body reacting without any cognition?
What to do when opinions vary?
To: Smartaleck
Smartaleck,
Would you be interested in helping Mae from being starved to death in Georgia?

To: Smartaleck

Sorry if this is repetitive, but I just jumped on to the end of this thread.
This story of starvation/dehydration occurring in Georgia has now been confirmed by World Net Daily and is listed in the Breaking News category on their home Page.

I guess I better get my protest signs back out. I am exhausted from Terri, but I can't sit idly by and let this happen again.
We need to email this to congress. Maybe this will fuel their fire a little. Rumor has it that the judge in this case doesn't even have a law degree.
I would like to offer a special round of applause to all you politicians and liberals out there who didn't believe us when we said that Terri's case would open the door to the wholesale murder of the disabled and elderly.

From eeevil conservative post#351
GA Dept of Human Resources
REPORT ABUSE:
(404) 657-9639
OR FAX WRITTEN REPORT TO: (404) 657-5737
With the word OR looks like a phone call will do it.

You said one thing right: be cautious. God forbid if we should accidentally save someone who might be in a coma. I could understand the 'udder humiliation of that. And if she isn't brain dead, then well, it wasn't our fault for doing nothing, right? Our image is way too important to risk for a human life.

Very well put and probably the sentiments of most you speak of.
Of course if I were rude I'd ask, "why do you have to get into all touchy feely crap like the Democrats and just deal with it?!" LOL
To: ExPatInFrance
I'll call them in the morning and if the call isn't enough I'll fax them too.

He already is.... I can't say how I know-- it was an off the record statement-- but the Judge is already quite upset.
The only way to make them accountable is to be sure they know that WE KNOW!
I am sure that Felos is calling him as we speak!
