I would not totally abandon the party, only some of its players. I will look much more closely at those running in primaries and vote for the people who will protect life in this country, regardless of party affiliation. I would rather have a Zell Miller Democrat than a Susan Collins Republican.

We have a Democratic Senator up for election in Michigan in 2006 and I will pay close attention to those running against her. I know for sure that she doesn't defend life.

I remember when I was a kid in the 1970's in school (I'll be 39 in July), we talked about the three branches of government where the legislative and executive branches make and enforce the law respectifully while the judicial interprets the law. The judicial was said to be the weakest of the three meaning they were not in the loop on making or enforcing laws. Even then, the judiciary has overstepped its bounds but it hasn't been so blantant as it is now. Dating myself again, I remember the old "Schoolhouse Rock" short about it where they compared government to a "three ring circus" (which is very close to the truth) but with this overpowering judiciary, we are now a one ring circus.

Great point, please tell me who those people are. I am not sure any more. There are too many things that the GOP can do alone but they do not. IF they did some of these things I might think differently but they only seem to want us to vote for them but when it is time to do something it is excuse city.

You have no way of knowing that and if you expect instand response you are going to be very, very disappointed. Laying out an airtight case is going to take months of investigation, evidence and a meticulously prepared case. The law grinds exceedingly slow, but it grinds exceedingly fine.

A lot of strange things have been uncovered in this past week and I don't expect it to end quickly.

It is in the hands of you folks in the GOP who could care less about Terri (this is a fair assessment since many do care less than those of us who are mad as a hornet). Wouldn't a little real action on the part of Jeb Bush or GWB go a long way toward solving all this division in the GOP? You don't think anyone in the Culture of Death will vote DNC that does not do so already do you? Of course my point assumes the GOP is not part of the Culture of Death. Maybe I assume too much, but that puts us right back where we started.

I understand that there will be cases where it is not possible to find a candidate who supports life, however the American people need to understand the importance of primaries. I know too many people who say "I don't vote in primaries". This is the reason we end up with the lesser of two evils. Evil vs Evil = Evil.
