Will Terri Bring America out of its Coma?

I have never been so proud of my Party as I am now. The Respect-life Party has gone to the ends for Terri Schiavo and there is no doubt as to where we stand. Sure there are some Rinoes who have stood with the Dinosaurs for Death, but the leaders of our Party have stood in the Breech for Life. We may lose the battle in Terri’s case, God Rest her Soul, but we have fought the War. There has never been a more transparent difference between the two Parties. The Leaders of our Party has ignored the Stone Age Press, an Out of Control Judiciary and Polls to stand by their Principles.

The Dinosaurs have to pretend that every issue has 82 shades of Grey including life and death. That is why they have to change the name of death to Vegetable, Brain dead, Fetus, Weed, Unwanted and the list goes on and on. The last thing they want Terri to be called is a human being or someone’s child, because that will make people think of this issue as killing. These people cry when their houseplant dies of not watering, yet they are perfectly happy to argue the value of killing a person of thirst or sucking a baby out of a mother. You cannot paint your shades of Grey when something is as simple as Life or Death. They have to use greys to hide their absence of values or core beliefs.

The DimRat Party has gone from the Happy Days in the 60's and 70's of Camelot and has followed the Bloody Road of Abortion to the modern days of Crash-a-lot. This is a dark day in America as we await the death of another innocent victim being sacrificed to their god of humanism. Any means justifies any ends when you color different shades of grey. It was ok to kill the Royal family of Russia to bring about Communism. The same for China, Vietnam, Cuba and Cambodia. It is ok to kill a baby as long as you are protecting the mother’s freedom to “choose.” In their warped view the very thing that makes women superior to men is what is holding them back, childbirth. It is fine to disgrace the office of President and the Country as long as he’s vetoing abortion bans. You can even throw a boy back to a brutal dictator after his mother drowned escaping, if you have enough paint. In their world any immoral act can be justified if it furthers their agenda.

The long march to amorality has brought us to the murder of a perfectly healthy woman to appease the god of assisted suicide. How much more Godless can we go?? Jesus said, how you treat the least of these is how you treat me. How appropriate that on the day of his crucifixion we are killing the least of us.

There could not be a more black and white case in America than the Schiavo case. If you have two people disagreeing on an issue you have to give them both some weight to their story. Even if Judge Greer Reaper assumes the husband is telling the truth, yet there is a 10% chance he is not; you have to err on the side of keeping Terri alive. This is a simple Black and White or in this case life or death. You always give every indifference to life because life is precious, even a vegetable’s, which she is not.

Our leaders in Congress, Gov Bush and President Bush have done everything they can do within the law. They cannot send in the troopers like Bull Reno and start a civil war between police. They have sworn a declaration to uphold the Constitution and it’s laws. We are not Democrats who will use any means, including force to forward an agenda. How anyone could predict that the steps that we have taken would be snubbed and they would not review this case is why we need moral judges. Her death for an agenda is going to forever stain our Country, laid at the feet of the Party of Death. They and the Libertarians have pushed for this death for the last 2 years and now they can enjoy their “victory.” This is one major reason many Americans could never belong to those Parties, for their immorality and amorality towards life.

We have done all we can for Terri and for that we should be proud of our leadership. They as we are having our hearts broken during this deep dark Easter celebration. God is in control and perhaps he needed America to have a lamp unto it’s feet to get back on the narrow path. Perhaps he needed to expose evil for evil and what you get when you turn your back to God. None of this exposure would have happened if Jeb and GW were not in power, although in the end they were powerless to stop this senseless killing. The Judicial Branch has no heart and has no humanity, only empty briefs. For that, a little girl in Florida is going to pay the final price while her Mom and Dad cry helplessly. We can only Pray for Terri, her Family and this once great Country. We can Pray that Jesus will Heal Her and Welcome Her with Open Arms into his Glory. Amen.

Pray for W and Terri’s Family

It's not time to lay before the foot of evil and surrender. The battle for the hearts and minds of America in my opinion will begin the moment after life passes from Terri's body.

And a storm is about to break which I feel has never been seen before. It will build slowly and rise like a tide and sweep across the land.

The truth of this story has not yet been told and most people don't know the real truth of it. When it does, you will see a difference.

Join in that tide and watch as it swells around you.

I am ashamed of our cowardly Republican leadership. What use is it to elect a Republican majority in both houses of Congress, a Republican president, and a Republican governor if they don't have guts enough to use the power we give them?

Could either of the two Bush brothers have saved Terri's life? Sure! Could Congress have saved her life by applying enough pressure? You betcha! Would this have involved some risk careerwise? Yep! This is the problem with our leadership in lots of areas; Terri's case just makes it really visible.

So now you have these moral cowards throwing up their hands and saying they've done all they can do for her. Well, in my book that's just BS.

We can't keep electing wimps to office; doesn't do us a bit of good. Even if they are conservative they also have to be willing to fight.

I don't know what the fix is, but the first step is to stop lying to ourselves about the real nature of the problem.

I hope and pray that you are right...

but have lost faith in the politicians that stand for life...

Our country is going down the toliet... I thought 9-11 would be a watershed event, that would turn the country... but it didn't... morally our country got worse.

I have debated this event as well, but I look and our politicians and they will not stand up to the Judicial Branch...

so where do we go from here?

To those who disagree, I will not argue your points because they are all valid. This is to open the subject not close it. Any fight worth fighting such as this will bring strong arguments. I would rather belong to a minority Party that values life than a majority Party that does not.

Pray for W and Terri's Life

Re: "If he did anything like that you know there would be confrontation and very probable a violent one."

It is your opinion the following actions would be cause for a violent revolution?:

1. Contempt of Congress for Judge Greer.
2. Hearings on Judicial abuses (they got time for baseball)
3. Cutting the budget for judicial staffing
4. Redistricting of the Federal Courts, Eliminate a few seats while creating new ones and you can give a few judges their pink slip.
5. Cut benefits to the judiciary.

If you are correct than we have be overthrown by a bloodless coup and are just now noticing and GWB is part of the tyranny. If you are correct there is no peaceful, nonviolent solution to restoring the Constitution. I think you are wrong but if you are violence will be the outcome one way or another, even if it is just sheep heading to slaughter. Am I still permitted to vote for a third party am I not or am I mistaken in that as well. Are you going to tell me the DNC is worse? If you are correct I don't see how.

Terri is THE MIRROR IN WHICH WE ALL VIEW OUR OWN INHUMANITY TO MAN.
Secularists can't stand LOOKING AT THEMSELVES. I pray that GOD keeps Terri ALIVE as long as possible, so we ALL GET a GOOD, STRONG, ACCURATE, LOOK at our own sinfulness. That's bound to do GOOD, no matter what people's reactions are. ALSO, this whole event could push us along the road to epistemological self-consciousness where middle ground and inconsistencies are eliminated.
This is what is required of us as believers: namely to confront the world and offer the Gospel. Whether people repent and believe is not up to us. Some will believe and others will reject the Gospel of LIFE and become HARDENED in their rebellion against GOD.

BS
I do not believe that for a moment. Explain the vote of 40% plus democrats in Congress. They don't want Terri's blood on their hands either. It was all political cover DNC GOP all the same, "let to courts kill her so the public doesn't know they are next"

I think it is feasible to do as you you say, but it will take time and will not be in time to save Terri.
The gears of politics grind slowly.
I also hope they will deal with these out of control judges and possibly impeach them.
I am on your side on this

Teri will bring America out of it's coma, just about as long as 911 did. Which is no small accomplishment for one helpless young lady and her loving, caring and determined parents and siblins, all abused by both her husband and by every court of law available to them in the United States of America.

THe MSM, same as with 911, will seek to trash the actions of those who fought for teri as irrational, over reaction that was due either to religious zealotry or for political advantage over the Democrat party of death.

I suggest that we erect a monument to Teri and her family, right beside the 911 monument, lest we forget terrorist attack II-the more serious of the two, because it came from within and was carried out in front of the whole world in daylight, by those whose assigned duty is to protect innocent life. Nuf sed!!!!

They have to make up their own mind. I am only stating what I will do and what I expect from LEADERS worthy of my respect. There seems to be a shortage of them these days.

Will I be alone? I doubt it. Will many stay and give the GOP one more try? most likely. We will have to see in 2006 to see how many, I hope the people who are okay with the outcome of this case are comfortable with this, perhaps they are. If the elections are rigged they should sleep soundly until they hear the rattle of pitchforks.

Now this is the time to support GWB as he brings up new judges before the Senate.
We need to insist on strict constitutional scholars on the bench and no power hungry fools.
Write to your Senators and warn them of the consequences and make sure that the Senate will not block any of them.

Takes time? How long did it take to have baseball hearings? Less time than it took to take the feeding tube out.

The People of Pinellas County elected Greer. THEY can do soemthing about it. I am so going to laugh at everyone when they vote for Perouted or Badnarik or even Nader instead of whichever candidate the GOP puts up as a protest vote (assuming that these individuals even vote or will, in their always fickle manner, remember Terri), and we get a Hillary. not that I wont have done my part, because I will have voted against whomever the Democrats put up, assuming it isnt Zell Miller.....

The parallels are astounding. No, I didn't go to Florida. But I did in my heart which was very sad in church last night. And I didn't feel I should receive communion because I missed mass last week because I am a one-track kind of person and got so caught up in the Terri ordeal which is no excuse whatsoever.

I will fight on as best I can, but yesterday I was agonizing over this whole thing, and opened my bible to Psalm 79. That pertained to Jerusalem, and I no way equate this country with Jerusalem, but I did see some parallels and derived some comfort from it that God is still in charge and will move in His time to vindicate His people.

A couple of things came to mind. We are told to pray for our enemies. God's people have cried out in their hearts to be avenged; it's also in Revelation. How long, O Lord? We just have to lie down and take at a certain point like Jesus did (and his mother and followers), hoping and praying that some greater good will come from it.

Yes, we have lost the culture war, and now we seem to find ourselves in the position of the Jews who fought on to keep their religion pure and lives going when all around them everybody had gone over to the heathens.

And finally Jerusalem was destroyed. But the Jews are still with us. They never gave up no matter what. Nor should we.

It amazes me that even under Roman occupation, they were still allowed to practice their religion relatively unhindered and come and go as they wanted, with some exceptions such as having to report for a census. Dissenters were quickly disposed of though.

The evil Romans at the time of Christ would probably have allowed the people to save a woman from starving to death. Later the Jews were finally cornered and starved to death at Massada. Didn't they end up committing mass suicide? We can't go there. I'm kind of foggy on some of it.

Shouldn't get caught up in so many philosophical musings. The only one who can save Terri now is God Himself, and I don't think He will do it for the simple reason that He doesn't seem to be into huge public miracles. So now I hope Terri can join the martyrs in heaven and be given a white robe and palm and told to wait a little while until the full number of those to be killed for His sake have been.

I wonder if Terri would even qualify for martyrdom under the strictest Catholic interpretation. Her family sure would qualify for sainthood imo, even if they made a few blunders along the way, if their motives are what I believe them to be. I have never in my life seen four people so united in fighting such a prolonged, perilous fight.

Hate to post this, because there are probably lots of things wrong with it, but ain't gonna flush it at this point.

I know you are as frustrated as I am.
We all want the same: for Terri to live and for Mary & Bill to have their daughter to take care off.
Don't take it out those who stand with you. We have to be united against our true enemies

We are at such a crossroads. I'm glad they got involved. However, what is bothersome is the compromise that our party made to change the language from "shall" to "may." That gave the courts the opening they needed not to review the case de novo. Why do we keep doing this? Would it not have passed with the more definite "shall?" I don't understand how it all works in Washington but it just seems our leaders are always compromising and in this case it appears lethal.

The GOP record on judges has been too mixed to induce a cheer from me. At this point the GOP needs to let the judges know the senior and most powerful branch of government is Congress. New judges are pointless if they think they are all-powerful. Absolute power corrupts absolutely.
