New verse:
|
Upon the hearth the fire is red, |
|
|
Still round the corner there may wait |
|
Home is behind, the world ahead, |

Oh, good.
I shouldn't have had a drink with dinner... looks like I'm going to have an early night.
I'm trying not to get a cold. I've got work I need to be doing, but I'm not interested. Just put on some coffee. Maybe that will help.
I believe that would pretty well guarantee I wouldn't get any work done...
down 1/2 a pint... go straight tuh bed... get up at 0600...
Good Morning!
mmmmm....Lana Turner....
Good morning! I have the day off, and it's snowing like crazy! The plow woke me up a few times since they've already made several sweeps. Three to seven inches, they say...but we're not supposed to get the higher amount. I imagine it'll quit by lunchtime or so.
On the agenda for today:
1. Update my resume and *possibly* apply for a few a of the more promising jobs I've seen on-line, though it's a bit early, I know.
2. Write that darned notification letter to give my boss!
3. HOPEfully pack everything but the dishes, which I still don't have the greatest boxes for. Margaret's going to get some small, heavy-duty ones from the hospital.
4. Take a load o' stuff to the Salvation Army, if they're open...or at least put all the stuff I'll bring to them in one place.
Quite a bit. Hope I can at least accomplish the first few things...
Well if is any place near Cedar Rapids I might be able to help campaign or something. Depends...
Good luck with all that. My plan for the say involves dragging myself to work and... no wait, that is the whole plan.
Good morning everyone!
We're already starting school, so i'll be back later. Also, my blog will be updated sometime today to show the work we did this weekend. I got the car completely gutted as far as the seats are concerned...got all the stuffing out of them and discarded everything that wasn't salvageable...this time I wore a mask. It was REALLY nasty.
I'm following Talon's plan. With the addition of going to see a professor and trying to persuade him that my pitiful pathetic attempts at the assignments don't really mean I'm incapable of work in this particular area.
Mornin'.
Unfortunately, this is just a drive-by post since I am completely buried in work today.
I.T. brought me a new computer and half of my stuff was missing, so it took most of my time Friday to get that sorted out. I'm still playing catch up! Yikes!
I'm surprised your school isn't closed for the day!
I'm not accomplishing much. The snow means I don't feel like doing any of the outside the house things.
I did change guitar strings, much to Tam's delight. He thinks old guitar strings are the most wonderful toys ever created. Besides his fetch ball, of course.
I kinda am surprised, too, though I'd have gone anyway.
Sigh. Apparently the bus broke down again. I gave up after twelve minutes and drove. Did a good deed and took a stranded fellow passenger to her building, and was rewarded with a wonderful parking space, at least.
Am I logged in? Did we miss anything? Our internet was broken for over 24 hours! "The horror. The horror..."
Am I logged in? :~D
We've been without internet for more than a day! And our electricity was off too! Our whole area here lost power over a few miles stretch.
I woke up yesterday morning in the 19th century. Had to drive into town to get water for horses, I guess we had one modern convenience... a truck :~D
Power came back on early yesterday, but no internet till just now, the cable guy had to come and tweek it for it to work.
But I'm FReepin now! Any news?
I can't get my blog to work...the webpage won't come up.
Does it work for you??
Yeah - I can see it just fine.
