We always owe. SSQ sets it up that way. That way, the govt. doesn't get to keep our money all year, when WE could keep it, earning interest on it! He always files about a week before the deadline, using TurboTax or one of those other programs.
You're welcome. As you could see from Bear's post, I didn't know the original reference, only the one from Rumpole, but I love that one!
I just checked and it's saying 3-6" here. Joseph is bummed, of course, because he's off school all next week anyway, so he doesn't get any 'snow days' out of this.
My friend, Gina, and I are thinking of taking her daughter Erin, and Clare and maybe a couple of their friends down to NYC for the day on Tuesday. We were thinking of checking out that Saffrom Gates exhibit at Central Park, and just tooling around. I guess we'll have to wait and see about the weather. Weather.com says it's supposed to snow all day tomorrow, then snow showers on Tues and Wed, so I don't know.
Sandra Dee died

~snif~
Sandy you must start at a new,
Don't you know what you must do-,
hold your head high,
take a deep breath and sigh--,
Goodbye,
To Sandra Deeeeee--
*Sniff*
Who?
Me too, this time.
To try to cheer everybody up, here's a bed pillow:

Don't tell Hair'n'ecurbh.
Sandra Dee was always the cutest thing. Did she just drop out of Hollywood? I don't remember hearing anything about her past the 70's.
I'm not sure who the original Gidget was, either.
I think there were some alcohol and other issues. I can't recall her whole story.
Ditto.
When I think "Gidget" (which btw, Jen, was already an ancient re-run when I saw it...I'm not quite as old as dirt) I think Sally Field, who played the role about the time I was learning to eat with a spoon, and then played "The Flying Nun" until I started Kindergarten.
Sandra Dee was the original film version Gidget. Sally Field did the role on TV.
But who was Gidget? That's what I don't know.
The Gidget films were a series of movies in the late 50s, early 60s. Gidget was a teenage girl who got in a series of "adventures."
It was later a TV show.
Sandra Dee was the original actress in the movies. Sally Field did the TV role.
Oh, ok. I don't think I've ever heard of those. Thanks for the explanation.
They were entertaining (sort of) but would not be considered the great films of their day.
.... so, really, no reason for me to have ever heard of them?
You would not necessarily lose points on a cultural exam.
