I missed the "Flatliner" reference myself. I wish the episodes were replayed later so I could watch it again. I don't know if I could stand to watch and listen to Logan again, though. I just want to slap his smarmy head off.

Oh, how I wish I had the answers to all of those questions!!! I think the official '24' website has some of that info on a week delay...think I'll check it out tomorrow! I'm still buzzing from tonight's episode...sounds like you had quite a crazy evening yourself! There is a 'spoiler' thread referenced somewhere at the beginning of today's posts....I haven't seen it yet...didn't want to know ahead of time but now I have something to look forward to for tomorrow.

Logan is "we" or "you" when things are screwed up and "I" when he thinks he's got it all under control. I can tell the actor is doing a great job at "smarmy" because I want to smack him, too!

Does anyone really think the "Novak" character was a coincidence :)The Mike Novick character reminds me of a combination of Karl Rove and Dick Cheney, and not merely because he is mostly bald. I was glad to see him make a comeback in Season 4. He really screwed the pooch in Season 2 by betraying Palmer, but I never got the sense that he was really a bad guy. He simply made a huge mistake in judgment. In that respect, he isn't like Rove or Cheney. :)

I thought Behrooz got taken away with Marwan. Did he get taken into custody at CTU? I was hoping we would see him one more time.

From what I can tell, there was nothing said regarding a line from Flatliners. What makes sense to me (having not seen the movie mentioned) is that having Jack "die" at the end is the reference made. Way cool ending, if ya ask me. 24 is the Marvel comics for us action show types.
Will be lurking in the meantime.....

It is a roller-coaster show to watch! "FLATLINERS" came up an episode or two ago when Paul died. Jack was in the CTU surgical room and it was the way the scene was blocked that made a few recall a similar blocking from "FLATLINERS." Tonight, they had a similar scene blocking from the same movie. It wasn't the dialogue, but rather the similarity in the way the scenes looked. Think I might rent it just for giggles!

I think next season we will find President Logan in one of the Chinese embassy's accepting bribes and completing his sex reassignment surgery.

"Let's see, now, if I get this..Bauer saves her life, her dad's life, her brother's life, one million Americans, AND she dumps him?" Yep, I'm afraid it happens like that all the time.

You're right, Logan is just a great example of a VP chosen for the so-called political reasons; a partisan hack with little talent (or spine) and apparently no real integrity. Yeah, exactly. But we should probably cut Logan some slack. He had trouble focusing last night because he was distracted working on the Senate "deal" to save the freaking filibuster.

could you fill me in on hte "flatliners" reference. I did not notice it in the show last night and I do not know what it has to do wiht Kiefer S. I would appreciate it.

and completing his sex reassignment surgery. to what sex will Logan be reassigned?

Good one....haven't read all the filibuster threads because I was so focused on '24' but I printed up a lot before lights out and it looked like something really 'sucky' happened in our real life. Got a lot of reading to do today...may have to hit a religion or prayer thread first.

Haven't seen 'FLATLINERS' in years so you might get a better explanation from our fellow '24' posters...but...there were a couple of scenes in '24' with Kiefer/Jack that reminded a lot of people of how some of his scenes in 'FLATLINERS' looked...it was a visual thing and had nothing to do with Jack's character or with '24' itself.
It seemed to be an inside joke the writers or director (or Kiefer!) got in there. I didn't "click" to it initially, although I had the deja vu sensation when I watched the scenes. Then a couple of posters mentioned the 'FLATLINERS' scenes that were very similar to how Kiefer/Jack played out the scenes in '24.' Glad they did or I would still be wondering why the scenes in '24' seemed so familiar...and yet, so not familiar!
Off topic, but a neurologist told me that deja vu "events" were kind of like little stroke-like actions. Not strokes...but stroke-like. I was so sad to hear that...I just figured I was "gifted" all these years!

That would make six seasons of "24". Hopefully they'll hit the sweet number - seven. Which should ensure a long life in the DVD reruns.

I think next season we will find President Logan in one of the Chinese embassy's accepting bribes and completing his sex reassignment surgery. I think next season we will see President Palmer running against President Logan for the presidency. Remember Palmer was a one term president so he's still eligible to run for President.
I also think we will see the female terrorist who received the presidential pardon back as a villain.

Does anyone know when season 4 DVD's will be out?
