Now that some black voters are supporting Republicans (again), the left shows themselves as the racists they can be by hurling every racist insult they can think of at Collin Powell, Condelezza Rice, and Clarence Thomas.
Let's look at why black voters are looking at the Republicans:
- Moral issues like abortion and same sex marriage. Hard to accept these liberal issues being the key plank in the party, especially when Democrat politicians are coming to church on Sunday to preach to the voters. Black Democrats do not like the comparisons between segregation/slavery and sexual liberties. The homosexual agenda was the first thing on Bill Clinton's list ("Don't ask don't tell") and has come very far in the past 2 years.
- Supression. When Tom DeLay and Texas Republicans pushed for a measure to redistrict the state (which can be done once every 10 years based on new census information), part of the goal was to give minorities more districts. Chris Bell(D) retaliated by filing a bogus ethics charge against Rep. DeLay (Chris is a lame duck after all).
- Republicans AREN'T evil. Yep we aren't the racist types the media has tried to make us out to be. Strom Thurmond was a Democrat then a Dixiecrat before he became a Republican. Senator Byrd was a KKK Kleegle and still uses the N-word. David Duke was a Democrats and then an independent before he declared himself to be a Republican. Lyndon LaRouche is a Democrat, although the party tries to shut him out. The Democrats did permit the racist Al Sharpton to appear in the primary debates and get on the ballot so as to act as if they really did believe in his candidacy; Al Sharpton is not a good reflection on black people.
- Vouchers. Yep, some black families would like to be able to send their kids to private school. Good enough for politicians kids, good enough for theirs. Fewer gangs, more focus on abstinence, teachers who must prove themselves...
