We will not tire, we will not falter, and we will not fail!
Good morning!!
Do not let the victims of the attacks on New York and Washington, nor the brave members of our Nation's military who have given their lives to protect our freedom, die in vain!!
President Bush has already tried to reach out to France and make amends. French President Chirac, however, has also already rebuffed America.
The New York Times is not set for reconcilliation either. They published an op-ed piece today from Krugman that calls Bush a radical and that he will destroy America as we know it. (EN--Well, if we destroy America as seen by the eyes of the liberals, is that necessarily a bad thing?)
For AMERICA - The Right Way, I remain yours in the Cause, the Chairman.
Several readers have pointed out that as the vote-counting process is completed, President Bush's margin of victory continues to grow. His popular vote advantage is now 52% to 47%, and he won by a whopping 4.7 million votes! The election wasn't close after all.
Hi.
Hi.
:^)
Afternoon......Mom has been given a new date to go home......looks like Nov 10th or 11th .....she is on cloud nine.
I am going to start Christmas planning and shopping tomorrow.
Good news about your Mom, Jim. Nothing like sleeping in her own bed.
The few days before and after the election did me in, I can't imagine how exhausted President Bush is.
Don't forget my dishes.
LOL!
Would you prefer Hefty or Wal Mart brand paper plates?
Shoprite, actually.
How was your day?
Groan, I don't even want to think about Christmas shopping yet. I can't imagine the exhaustion of the campaign folks either, I'm wupped. The time change earlier this week didn't help either.
Prairie
It has been a long couple of months around here.
Democrat Senator who are up for reelection in 2006 are not above looking at the 2002 and 2004 returns. The safe Democratic leaders such as Kennedy and other new england and California liberals, may tell them to not cooperate with George Bush, but some of those democrats are going to try to make deals with George Bush.. .The deal is the one used by FDR to garner Republican support. It goes like this. "President Bush... if you agree not to oppose me in 2006, I will vote with you in 2005 and 2006."
Look at the 2002 and 2004 Record of George W. Bush and Karl Rove against Democrats running for the senate. Democrats would rather survive as a senator, than lose their job in 2006.
There will often be 5 Democratic senators who will prefer to suck up to George Bush and survive rather than suck up the left and political die.
After Daschle's defeat, I think that whoever is the Senate minority leader will be hesitant to keep the filibuster's going. You are quite right. We should see a lot of legislation in the first 6 months.
I have been doing Christmas shopping over the internet. It is SO convenient, and everything is delivered to my door!
I have so much to do for the holidays that I want to get an early start. My goal is to have most shopping and decorating done by the end of November. Then all I will need to do is baking.
Also, tomorrow we are going to look at a new car for me. (Not really new, but used and the kind I want.) It is time to retire the War Wagon, my old Ford Explorer which we bought during the first Gulf War, and I have driven through the invasion of Iraq and President Bush's re-election. I think we got our money's worth...I have 350,000 miles on her.
