Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!
...Pass them by! Pass them by!
New verse:
|
Upon the hearth the fire is red, Beneath the roof there is a bed; But not yet weary are our feet, Still round the corner we may meet A sudden tree or standing stone That none have seen but we alone. Tree and flower and leaf and grass, Let them pass! Let them pass! Hill and water under sky, Pass them by! Pass them by! |
Still round the corner there may wait A new road or a secret gate, And though we pass them by today, Tomorrow we may come this way And take the hidden paths that run Towards the Moon or to the Sun. Apple, thorn, and nut and sloe, Let them go! Let them go! Sand and stone and pool and dell, Fare you well! Fare you well! |
Home is behind, the world ahead, And there are many paths to tread Through shadows to the edge of night, Until the stars are all alight. Then world behind and home ahead, Well wander back to home and bed. Mist and twilight, cloud and shade, Away shall fade! Away shall fade! Fire and lamp, and meat and bread, And then to bed! And then to bed! |

Yeah, but your guess isn't that far off (this will be clearer at the end of 49)

I had a wolf spider on my bedroom curtain when I was a teenager that was truly as big as my stretched-out hand. From leg tip to leg tip, you know...not it's actual body. It's actual body was probably about the size of 1/2 of a hotdog. It was GIGANTIC.
I think it was a wolf spider...not sure though. That's what we always called them. They weren't tarantulas. They had really long brown furry legs.

I don't really want to watch it...I just want to follow along on the live thread! You know, no matter what, Kerry is gonna be declared the winner...which is why I want on the live thread...I want the truth.
Oh well...it will be good to see Steve!
He's awful handsome.

*sigh*
Ya know...we help students with personal computers if it's network related...but I REALLY wish they would think to take off the background images of women-wearing-nothing-just-with-strategically-placed-hands before coming down here. I don't need ta see that.

Bob, a Psychological Operations solider wears his canvas kilt while posing in front of a picture that was in the Saddam International Airport.

Okay folks. I'm outta here.
With any luck I'll get some yard work in tonite.
Are we watching the debate from here? Do we have our drinking words?
To: Corin Stormhands
What time does it start, anyway?
I'll probably listen to it on the radio. I am definitely going to anime club tonight (I need social interaction with my nerdish peers after this week's code torments) but maybe I'll leave early...
Sigh. Version two of parallel code compiles, but does not run.

You should put a sign on the door!
"If your desktop image offends me, a three dollar fine will be levied." Then, you can make some money for Van-sama!
Heh. Heh. Heh. In class, my friend: "So I watched Fruits Basket" - I'd given her disk one. I asked her which episodes. "All six. I just couldn't stop". She's never seen anime before...
Now, with a little help from fansubs, I'll teach her to watch in Japanese...
