Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!
...Pass them by! Pass them by!
New verse:
|
Upon the hearth the fire is red, Beneath the roof there is a bed; But not yet weary are our feet, Still round the corner we may meet A sudden tree or standing stone That none have seen but we alone. Tree and flower and leaf and grass, Let them pass! Let them pass! Hill and water under sky, Pass them by! Pass them by! |
Still round the corner there may wait A new road or a secret gate, And though we pass them by today, Tomorrow we may come this way And take the hidden paths that run Towards the Moon or to the Sun. Apple, thorn, and nut and sloe, Let them go! Let them go! Sand and stone and pool and dell, Fare you well! Fare you well! |
Home is behind, the world ahead, And there are many paths to tread Through shadows to the edge of night, Until the stars are all alight. Then world behind and home ahead, Well wander back to home and bed. Mist and twilight, cloud and shade, Away shall fade! Away shall fade! Fire and lamp, and meat and bread, And then to bed! And then to bed! |

Never mention an idea to Ruthy in passing... she will just grab and run with it! You mean that idea about how I really don't like Lear jets? Well, I don't. I think Gulfstream really has a much more well-evolved model.
Sure, I'd hate to settle for a Gulfstream IV like poor little Britney had to. I mean... who wouldn't? Yeesh...
The Gulfstream V (like the venerable EIB#1) is a far better choice.

I was trying to post a quick response and missed the age! Darn!
I'm partial to that grey mare anyway. She'd give Bayman a run for his money. ;-)
It's all about the Bayman....
Fatty will be relieved that someone else's butt is getting nipped.

Lears suck Jet-A.
<snicker>
I, too, prefer the Gulfstream. So do my characters.
Therefore, it must be superior.

I knew I was asking for it with that comment, but since Corin had left, I figured I was safe.

She's really a nice strong looking horse..
Something holds me back though.... besides not being ready to bring another horse home yet ;~D I'd sure like to find another tallish Arab horse like Bay. I've always loved them best. An Arab might also mean ecurbh wouldn't have to buy ~another~ saddle.

I only live vicarously though the exploits of those that are more mouthy and obnoxious than I.
Not only do I not own a jet, I am also in no immediate risk of doing so.
Even if I did own a jet... I'd still have to rent a car when I got there. What satisfaction is there in that?
:-)

The private campground is nice, but it is ~right~ next door to a several thousand acres of public lands. We could slum it in the regular campgrounds.

Nah ... get a Gulfstream. They're much nicer ... and only require a single pilot! Learjets require two.

Not necessarily.... They'll run the same ranges as any breed.
