Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!
...Pass them by! Pass them by!
New verse:
|
Upon the hearth the fire is red, Beneath the roof there is a bed; But not yet weary are our feet, Still round the corner we may meet A sudden tree or standing stone That none have seen but we alone. Tree and flower and leaf and grass, Let them pass! Let them pass! Hill and water under sky, Pass them by! Pass them by! |
Still round the corner there may wait A new road or a secret gate, And though we pass them by today, Tomorrow we may come this way And take the hidden paths that run Towards the Moon or to the Sun. Apple, thorn, and nut and sloe, Let them go! Let them go! Sand and stone and pool and dell, Fare you well! Fare you well! |
Home is behind, the world ahead, And there are many paths to tread Through shadows to the edge of night, Until the stars are all alight. Then world behind and home ahead, Well wander back to home and bed. Mist and twilight, cloud and shade, Away shall fade! Away shall fade! Fire and lamp, and meat and bread, And then to bed! And then to bed! |

I suppose you'd get used to it after awhile, but I've lived up north most of my life, where the twilight just drags on and on. So this is something that I really notice -- odd how it's those little things like that that really get your attention. The gazillion crickets chattering constantly in the grasses is another thing. Man, they make tons of noise -- it's a noisey place with all the critter sounds!

Huh? lazer pilots?
Can you hum a few bars?

Holy moly... I have no idea.
I don't even own a laser pointer, so it wasn't me.
OK... OK... I do have one of those laser-level pointer thingys... but it still wasn't me.
Honest.

And it bugs these NW political types something fierceTurnabout is fair play. They'll just have to suck it up til they get back home! ;o)
Have you seen lots of kudzu? It grows on anything that's not moving; telephone poles, abandoned cars, fences, sides of barns, etc.

Seriously.... she's a pretty good prospect! Wish she were a little bigger. She's a full hand shorter than Bay.

I'd walk away for a bit. Get a drink, something to eat and then go back.
Something may *click*.

Sigh... yeah, good advice. I emailed the prof, too. Either I'm really stupid, or this is a really weird problem...

Maybe it's a typo. You never know until you see her in RL.
