Eleventh Thread: Wedding Edition: The Hobbit Hole XI - No One Admitted Except on Wedding Business!
New verse:
|
Upon the hearth the fire is red, |
Still round the corner there may wait |
Home is behind, the world ahead, |

Yep...not a good sign. Thanks for the link!!
I'm back! The letter and pictures are mailed to the commander of our local Army National Guard. We mailed it from our new post office that is just down the street.
The man that works there has TWO boys serving in the military...both Marines, I believe. He and I have already started to form a bond.
This new post office is very nice. It's in a bank, and the bank provides free soda, popcorn and flavored coffees. It's not going anywhere, like the one in the ACE hardware building that shut down.
The lava dome that formed/has been forming has not been expected to be explosive, and even if it did, it's of relatively little consequence because it isn't very big. The mountain's gone.
I am sure you'll let us know if you hear anything!
It's a good bet.
;-)
Isn't that Peregrin's brother?

Got six eggs again today. And not only that, one of the babies laid a HUGH one! They've been laying little itty bitty eggs, vey small. So small that when I have an omelet or scrambled eggs, I use one whole little egg and two egg whites (it's the yolk with the saturated fat and cholesterol.) The yolk wasn't much bigger than a large marble.
Well, she didn't lay a little one today, sis! It was a huge egg, as big as Jar Jar normally lays and a pretty pale blue.
I'll be sending you two HH knives for him to send to his sons. I also need to send a couple to g'nad for his old Marine buddy and winemaker.
As for the rest of it, liking it too much is why I quit drinkin'.
OB was indeed a suitable sub when one's GI booze ration ran out for the month...
"coffee is bad for you.
If the world is ending, do we really care?"
Reminds me of a painting at a local coffee shop. Judgement day shows two lines of people with empty coffe cups walking past the lord who sends them either to Java brew heaven or Decaf Hell.
Now if I was in charge of dinner:
36 packets of Ramen
A whole lotta Velveeta, cubed
Two cases of Fanta and Faygo, assorted flavors
Ice the pop, boil everything else. Pass out bowls and spoons. Let nature take its course.
No, I'm a little better than that :)
Would it be possible to send me three? This is a picture of Joshua and one of his teachers at church...Mr. George. He's in the Army (reserves, I think...). He really loves this fellow, a kinder man I've never met.
Is "boy across the street" not the best company?
Hehehe.... see, I know how to cook for one, and I know how to cook for nine. It's numbers in between that I have trouble with. I had friends over last Wednesday. Made a big batch of chicken curry. Today I had the last of it - and I'd at least one meal of curry every day in between.
But not every day :p
My bachelor cookery is sadly limited to what can be nuked or boiled. Okay, I can fry, and I can clean up the resulting mess, but I'd rather not so that's rare.
I can charcoal or campfire grill, too, but I don't own a grill at the moment...
Heh...maybe they should use choppers for the tornado warning.
I wonder who cooked for The Nine, and what sort of horrid stew they preferred...
Morgul-hay is for Nazgul-horses...
..and as for the Fell Beasts...
And if those thoughts aren't enough to keep you awake:
William Hung is back, according to FNC...
heheh....
It wouldn't have woke you up either, I bet. It was loud but fast. The siren went on and on and on and it didn't wake you up!
Zzzzzzzzzzzzzzz.......
The dwarves have been slackers on excavating the foundation.
Somebody left the water running through the hose and the Army Corps of Engineers declared the site a wetland.
