We're good big sisters, aren't we, giving our sibs anime? Did you warn him not to get too attatched to anyone?
Heh... it took literally four years to convince the boring sister that anime was worth watching. She'd watch American cartoons but somehow anime had to be stupid. Now she begs me for recs - and more recently, for anime since she has no way to get any over there.
I want to talk about Full Moon with you, only you haven't seen it! I have to get you a copy. It's threatening to invade my NaNoWriMo story - or at least, some sort of Shinigami wants to visit...
Konnichiwa! Ano, Ruthy-san, bokutachi wa....
Que?
No hablo Aleman...
Tampoco hablo japones ni hablo chino...
Pardonnez-moi, je ne parle pas espagnol.
For crying out loud, if you have a business in the USA, shouldn't you at least speak enough English to get your payroll done?
Yes. Agreed. The only saving grace now could be that the client is in venezuela. :-)
Ramius - Monday over, into out-basket of history. The Bush-Bond-Blunt-Paterson-Hathaway signs made it through Octoberfest, a bit surprised, maybe it was the fact that we spent most of the weekend outdoors.
To No One in Particular: The wonderful thing about office e-mail is the "delete" key.
OT; some of the cats have liked it others have passed it by. Never understood that. Any luck with 'the short list' of prospective abodes?
Corin; glad to hear the cannas are still doing their thing.
2JM: thanks for the ping on RC and the troops.
:-)
hehehehe....I'm a self-hating hispanic, I guess. *grin*
I talk to lots of my clients in Spanish or Spanglish, depending on just how bad their English is. But it's a courtesy, not a requirement.
I did bring up the fact that the last time I got a new client that demanded a Spanish speaking payroll rep, he never even paid the first bill from us. :-P
*sigh* I'll do my best, but sometimes I mix up words and sound foolish. It's hard to manitain this "competant, professional aura" when you jumble up your words and the client snickers at you.
bavakasha, medabrim bahir.
Ah! Te intiendo ahora!
Tu eres un mono de rendicion comiendo queso!
No kidding... I think it is possible that my company has some of the most unusual all-company IntraSpam (yes, I made that up) in the world.
Maybe I'll search back and find some...
Ya-ta-hey Ruthie
Nope. He's in Miami...pronounced meee-ah-meeee. ;-)
Que?
Comment?
WTF?
No hablo nada but English, personally, but I can string a few words together in Spanish, Latin, or Japanese. Just enough to look mildly interesting.
Celebrate Diversity.
How! *laughing*
Did I open up a can of worms here or what?
It is most definitely a Monday.
Good thing it's almost over....
