I love 'em, but aspens are the weeds of the tree world. They propagate via their root systems- they send out runners and up springs a new tree. The new tree has the same genetics as the 'parent' and will turn the same color at the same time. You'll see these huge blocks of fall color that take up the entire mountainside cuz' it's all really the same tree.

Rosabelle (aka Rosa-Bomb according to the jedis), one of the chicks I got for my neices for Easter has begun to squat!

Just in time, the other hens are thinking of molting, i believe and we barely get an egg a day.

That's cool. I didn't know that. They are beautiful trees even when they're just green. I love those straight silvery trunks, mixed with the pines and spruces.

I hadn't realized you'd spent time in CO. Where's a good 'nature' spot not too far from the Denver area? I went to Rocky Mountain National Park this weekend, and that was lovely...
