Heavenly Father, we return to give You thanks that we can uphold Robert during this time of surgery and recovery. Grace his medical team with the greatest wisdom as they seek to remove the blood clots ... grant them success ... let nothing hinder and let nothing threaten. May his recovery be swift and sure, in the Name of Jesus, I pray, Amen ...

I hope you are doing ok, and recovering. I hope they got the clots.
Lord, please keep Robert safe, please see that his surgery was indeed very successful, and he won't be threatened by blood clots around his heart, too. To Jesus we pray, Amen.

Heavenly Father, I lift up Robert, and his friends and family to you for comfort to know that you are working on Robert's behalf. Lord, I come in agreement with the prayers for wisdom, grace, and mercy for all of his health care providers. I ask for salvation and the in-filling of the holy spirit for all involved. I ask that what the enemy meant for evil you will use for good. I ask for complete healing and recovery, and that this medical experience will not be a financial or emotional drain for Robert or his family. I ask that all their needs will be met. We thank you Lord and give you the glory! Amen.

Dear Believers,

The eagle has returned to his nest for much needed rest and recuperation.

I was told to report for patient registration at 0530. It lasted for a period of twenty-five minutes, after which I reported to the unit that had responsibility for the operation. They're not called operations anymore. Their 'procedures' now.

I changed into the back laced ceremonial sacrificial robe of one about to offer himself up to the 'practice' of medicine. I was ready and waiting at 0610 hours. At 0830 hrs I was rolled into the grand hall and surrounded by men and women who looked with menacing glee at the quivering human strapped to the table. At 1215 hours I was returned to the recovery area.

I was in and out of consciousness during the 'procedure' ( a heavy material placed over my face, which was turned toward my left shoulder ( they entered my jugular vein just above my right shoulder ). At one point in the 'procedure' I found myself looking into the eyes of my doctor explaining that a particular size stent was required and they would make use of it as soon as it arrived. I envisioned a car on a lift, and the mechanic having to stop to order a part he needed.

In my semi-conscious state, I remember listening to the men and women around me discuss a popular restaurant one of them had gone to try out. It sounded Italian in name. I not certain as the menu wasn't discussed while I was half consciousness. I do recall calling out for more pain killer do to the punishing push and pulls I was experiencing. Before it was over, I was out. Awakening in my room.

For me the operation ( sorry ) 'procedure' wasn't a sled ride - more on the order of sitting on a home-made boxcar with four unmatched wheels doing a no brakes test drive on a downhill road laden with small potholes and small stones. Otherwise it was ok. NOT!

They gave me the boot Saturday close to noon. I've been sleeping since. Sooner or later the anesthesia will run its course, and I'll start walking again ( slowly ).

My doctor previously told me that even if the procedure was successful, it would only be a temporary fix; that I should expect the loss of my lower limbs in the future.

After the procedure he told me I need not concern myself with the loss of either of my legs - that the 'procedure' was able to explore and perform corrective surgery he didn't believe was possible.

I was elated to hear that news, and can not help but know the prayers and from my wife, son, friends and my dear FReeper friends, brought the Holy Ghost to my side. I'm certain He guided the hands of those men and women who surrounded me as I lay on the operating table.

His healing actually washed away all of the blood clots in my right leg. This revelation dumbfounded my doctors who were expecting to find serious difficulties evidenced in CT scans and ultrasounds tests completed weeks before the procedure.

Within a reasonable period time, I expect to be able to take advantage on my new lease on life - doing whatever I can to protect and heal Terri Schindler.

I'm also mindful of the great work He as given to each believer to obey and respect the sacred rites and infallible dogma within the Roman Catholic Church passed on all who are privileged to occupy the Seat of Peter as an obedient shepards who hold the title of the Vicar of Christ on Earth.
