I don't mean to be contrary, but "men" wrote the Bible. Jesus' teaching were in the oral tradition and written up long after.

Obviously, the pages of the Bible didn't just appear from nowhere, however it was a Divinely inspired book. That's why you can take what it says to the bank.

The Bible was NOT simply thought up and written by men, though, and that's the big difference. Papal policies and edicts come from a man, who, when it all boils down, is just as fallible as the rest of us.

A point I have attempted to explain a few times but have given up on, most people who call themselves Christian cannot comprehend this simple fact.

You must not be familiar with the time frame of how soon the NT was written after the fact.

John's gospel was written by the disciple himself. Paul was first-person contact with Jesus, Peter and James (the Lord's brother) as well.

Paul cites in Corinthians that there are numerous people who saw Jesus after his resurrection and were still alive, and he suggests to the Corinthians to talk to them about it.

If you want to get into a "written up long after" situation in regards to sacred books the Quran/Koran is an excellent example. But one cannot say that about the Bible and be intellectually honest about it.

Pardon, God wrote the Bible using men as His vessels. "All scripture is God-breathed"

Get your facts straight.

Although God used men to pen the words, it is and has always been His Words. No different than the Lord using the Old Testament Prophets to speak His Words to His people.

2Ti 3:15 And that from a child thou hast known the holy scriptures, which are able to make thee wise unto salvation through faith which is in Christ Jesus.
2Ti 3:16 All scripture [is] given by inspiration of God, and [is] profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:
2Ti 3:17 That the man of God may be perfect, throughly furnished unto all good works.
