Shortwave radio can have some strange stuff.

On MSNBC, Summer 2001, they had a documentary on how US weapons are moved on the country's highways. Some caches were stored at commercial storage sites. Some of them in rather ramshackle storage places run with minimum security.

The correspondents got in to look at the stuff; at one storage site, the operator said that the govt seemed to have forgotten about the weapons stored there since they'd been there for a long time. He was hoping the media exposure would get the Pentagon to come and pick them up.

Needless to say, the documentary hasn't been repeated, but it was mind blowing.

It appears that they think sneaking the stuff thru is ok, it goes a half mile from my place.

A few years ago there was a leak in one of the trucks, the paper said that they kept it at the truck stop for several days, while waiting for the cleanup crew.

I don't understand the planning on hauling the hot waste to storage.
