Since its founding in 1923, Hillel has become the most important Jewish campus organization in America and abroad, with a presence on more than 800 campuses across the world. Its programs and leadership are central to campus Jewish life and, looked at a certain way, reflect the broader failure of colleges to educate students these days. Hillel was established on the premise that Jews themselves need to take responsibility for Jewish prospering by participating in cultural events and social programs and by being intellectually challenged in in-depth classes and seminars. The organization also sought to respond to campus antisemitism and to prevent it from spreading in America, as explained in a 1945 brochure:
It is important to remember that in European lands, anti-Semites never failed to utilize the universities. These became hotbeds of fanatical race hatred and nationalist terrorism, often stimulated by the professors themselves. […] The lesson must not be lost here.
As the past two years have made painfully clear, that lesson has been lost, with too many professors in America now stimulating hatred towards Jews or excusing it. A piece by the actress Mayim Bialik in the Atlantic illustrates the problem by noting that Hillel centers have become a regular target on American campuses.
At an event for incoming freshmen at Baruch College, for instance, Jewish students were harassed by people shouting references to recently murdered Hamas hostages, including American citizen Hersh Goldberg-Polin. “Where’s Hersh, you ugly-a*** b****?” shouted one of these monsters at a Jewish student. At Hunter College in Manhattan, a sign was found depicting an assault rifle and a symbol targeting Hillel. There is no question that Jewish students—including those attending Hillel events—have endured horrendous things in the past two years.

These organized anti Semites are treated entirely too gently. The WW I Jewish war veterans of NY knew how to deal with anti-Semitic Nazi parades and gatherings in a very definitive, effective manner.
Inculcating groupthink? Are they kidding?
And there I thought Judaism was more about one-to-one discussion about the Torah with the Rabbi. At least, I've thought that the best part.
Silly me.
there being Billions of dollars behind these pre-organized, choreographed anti-American “spontaneous outbursts” ... they will continue and even get more threatening and more intimidating and more violent and more disruptive, and
much much more violent
it is all so obvious
the sedition and violence will only grow...we ain’t seen nothing yet...
unless and until those ORGANIZING and PAYING for these “spontaneous free speech events” (ha ha) are arrested, tried, and imprisoned... with the $$$ cut OFF!
if they can’t keep buying our college administrators, faculty, and “student leaders” (ha ha) ... the danger will abate
No one serious about Torah will be enlightened by Hillel; secular, Leftist, and Woke, with a nod to Americanized Ashkenaz ethnicity. Torah on most campuses has been left to Chabad Houses.
New York City just voted in a Muslim mayor.
One third of Jewish voters in the city voted for him.
Welcome to 2025.
“ One third of Jewish voters in the city voted for him”
Still way better than the almost 2/3 of non-Jews who voted for Mandami.
I’d punch the bastards right in the face and just take a beating if I had. F it. I would not stand for that.
They are too afraid of Hamas to take a stand.
The majority of them voted for obama even knowing what he is.
The problem with Hillel is the Left runs it and not the Orthodox rabbis.
