Good suggestions if one wants to keep the federal program that we pay for (or on the $40 trillion debt) but shutting the program down for good and let the states worry about it instead would be a preference.
Just like “education,” ‘Snap Cards’ are not in the Constitution!
Cut the benefits to any person living in a state which refuses to provide the data, citing possible fraud, which IMO, is likely to be far higher in those blue states that refuse to report.
Those numbers in this article are just those they know about. If the state isn’t reporting, then there’s no knowing what the real numbers are.
And it comes with food and healthcare.
Preach it !
I am a ~recent below the knee amputee. I have handicap placards. I can walk very well. If I’m wearing long pants nobody can tell I’m an amputee. I drive an F350. My rule is that I use the shorts placard when there are other handicap spots open. Many people are actually disabled and need the shorter distance much more than me. God love you…
186,000 dead people
Is that all , sounds low.
Impossible. They all vote.
I sold a RAM 2500 diesel because I couldn’t get up or down from the high seat comfortably… meaning it was causing me a LOT of pain aside from the perpetual breakdown issues I had with DEF system, ABS system failure and no fix in sight, several other connections shorting out but that’s another story.
I have a disabled veteran plate because I’m a DV. I see the same thing you do and, while I have some days that are relatively pain-free and I CAN walk a few extra yards and don’t mind parking maybe ten spaces further off, watching people get out of their land yachts to go into a gym or off for a run at a park with their dogs causes a knee-jerk response in me of “THEY’RE not disabled at all!”
PT and neuro ask why I don’t use a walker or at least a cane and I tell them I don’t think I’m that disabled and I still see myself as the 59 year old who was running 7 minute miles and 10k runs ten years ago…
The ADA, while well intentioned (I assume) is one of the most highly abused pieces of legislation ever created.
What is Trump a deadophobe? I mean, shouldn’t the 186,000 dead people get their SNAP? They need to eat too...😀
Soon a democrat district judge will announce nation wide injunction to continue Snap benefits be continued regardless if the recipient is breathing or not.
I don’t think it’s a big problem giving food stamps to dead people who by definition cannot spend them. The real issue is to find out who is spending them, because that would be a crime.

I don’t know what they can do about this. It’s hard to get dead people to come to court.
