Energy Grid Near Collapse🚨⚡️Officers Urge Zelensky to Withdraw from Pokrovsk🏃♂️💨MS For 2025.11.08
“Every month, Ukraine loses a little bit, ~168 square miles.”
Russia captured less than 1% in 2025. Almost no gains in the last three years.
Russia inches ahead in Ukraine as report says 90,000 troops killed in 2025
“Many folks in the West pinned their reputation on this war too.”
You certainly enhanced your pro-Putin reputation.
Ukraine is losing about the same in troops, but is also losing ground.
Again, Russia NEVER had the intent to take all of Ukraine. That was a propaganda message in the West. It got really fantastical when some claimed Russia wanted to invade NATO nations and of course the Cold War cliches were revived.
Taking Western Ukraine would be a nightmare for them, a permanent resource drain. From day one, as in 2014, Russia planned on taking those areas that are ethnic Russian. Think about this, in 2014 Russia could have EASILY taken far more of Ukraine. Ukraine back then hadn’t militarized , they hadn’t been armed to their teeth by us yet...
Russia has already achieved their goals.
It is Ukraine that FAILED to prevent these.
Now it’s just about keeping the pressure on Ukraine to ensure there is a price tag for not negotiating an end as well as preventing the amassing of a force capable of a counter offensive.
You are creating your own goal posts and then pretending the Russia is failing because they don’t achieve what you dream up their goal is. You may as well claim Russia failed because they didn’t invade Mars.
Is Ukraine in NATO? No.
Did Ukraine hold onto the ethnic Russian areas? No.
“Ukraine is losing about the same in troops, but is also losing ground.”
Casualty figures in the war are highly contested and impossible to verify independently, with official figures from both sides considered to be significant undercounts. However, most independent estimates indicate that Russia has suffered significantly higher military losses than Ukraine.

“Again, Russia NEVER had the intent to take all of Ukraine. That was a propaganda message in the West.”
YOUR post is false propaganda.
On June 20, Vladimir Putin revealed that his ambition to annex all of Ukraine had not abated.
“Again, Russia NEVER had the intent to take all of Ukraine.”
Vladimir Putin might fall into the “stupid enemy” category when viewed from a perspective of long-term strategy
Before Russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine in February 2022, Putin made three crucial strategic assumptions. First, he believed the Ukrainian government was weak and would fall under the pressure of Russian military operations. Second, he assumed the Ukrainian military was weak and would not fight for long if challenged by the “might” of Russia’s military. Third, and perhaps most importantly, Putin assumed that NATO would not offer significant diplomatic or military assistance to Ukraine, given their generally supine approach to Putin’s 2014 invasion of Crimea and eastern Ukraine.
Every single one of Putin’s assumptions was proven wrong within 24 hours of the Russians crossing the Ukrainian frontiers.

I know you mentioned you live in Northern Japan. Did you feel the earthquake? I hope you are both okay, and that the people who live in that area are safe, and haven’t experienced any damage.
| Thanks for your concern, mass55th. So far, no deaths have been reported in yesterday's quake. The quake struck the northeast coastal province of Iwate, where Shohei Otani was born and raised. And it's the same area where lots of lives were lost back in the Great Tohoku Quake of 2011. In deciding where to live here, my wife selected an inland and relatively earthquake-safe city, Utsunomiya, about 1.5 hours north of Tokyo. Close enough to the greater Tokyo things-to-see and foods-to-eat, but far less expensive to live in. Plus they have an active pickleball club of 60 members with whom we enjoy playing with. We live in an apartment built with the latest earthquake-save specs, but every once in a while we feel a shaking for a second or two when an earthquake hits, even though it's epicenter is hundreds of miles away. Shortly after the big quake in 2011, I wrote some perspective on the ganbatte spirit of the Japanese people. |
Thanks, PAR35. I’ll explore the Continuation War, too.
Thanks for the update. I’m glad you guys are safe. Were you living in Japan in 2011 when the big quake hit? I knew who Shohei Otani was because of the recent World Series, but didn’t know where in Japan he was from. Appreciate the info. Take care.
