I disagree with Tucker on civil war.
The difference between 1860 and 2025 is that in 1860 there were fighting age men and honorable men on both sides. In 2025, there are fighting age men and honorable men on only one side. The republican side.
The democrat side is chaulk full of assassins, murderers and the like. But they don’t have actual men. Why? They drove all the men out of the party.
To have an actual war civil war. You need fighting age men. The democrats don’t have it.
Now they do have lawyers and very good lawyers.
So there will be a lot of legal battles.
But much of the democrat dominance was built on republican rhino complicity and democrat fraud.
That’s all going away.
Here’s another thing. The democrats don’t have leadership. There’s no one to rally the troops publicly. There’s a lot of back door shadow boxing but no actual leaders. Unless you count Pritzker or the california governor.
There will be a tell in the coming months as to whether california will vote for jerrymandering repulicans out of state.
The core of the volatility is in California. That state has real power unlike Oregon. If the jerrymandering option does not pass—then its game over for the democrats.
Even if it does pass, the repulicans have set up a gigantic economy in time for the fall elections next year. Plus their own jerrymandering. assures republican dominance in the house.
And it may grow.
The current civil war is an asymmetric civil war that could last 10 years.
