Omar was at Elim Lutheran Church in Robbinsdale, Minnesota, for a town hall on Saturday. She was responding to a man who pointing out that Kirk was all about civil discourse.
Here's the broader context:
"Rewriting history" for Omar means debunking fake quotes from Charlie Kirk or putting other quotes of Kirk's into context.
Omar: 'You must have selected hearing, sir. I said that the people who were full of s--- were the people who were saying that Kirk was civil!'
Man: 'He was!'
Omar: 'Absolutely untrue! The person who called for public execution of people he disagreed with is not civil. The person who said, 'you are a black woman, you lack the ability to process thoughts' is not civil. The person who said that because I'm a Muslim I could not be in this country because I want to destroy Western Civilization is not civil ...'
Kirk never called for the public execution of people he disagreed with. HE WAS THE ONE WHO WAS PUBLICLY EXECUTED.
(In front of his wife and kids, no less.)
Kirk held events called "Prove Me Wrong" so opposing sides of the political aisle had a chance to talk to each other.
Kirk also never said that black women lack cognitive ability. A Washington Post writer was even fired for wrongly printing that.
Kirk also never called for people to be deported simply because of their faith, Muslim or otherwise, though he did believe Islam is incompatible with Western/Christian values.
The absolute irony of Omar saying anyone else is full of poop!

Kirk called for this because Omar has not assimilated to American culture, has repeatedly and publicly put the interests of Somalia first, and spouts radical Marxist language that caused the deaths of at least 100 million people in the 20th century alone. Other notable Republicans like Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis have also called for her to be deported.
They might get their wish:
Chastise and primary the republicans that voted against omar’s censure.
Boycott Minnesota.
Sorry, you good Minnesotans.
Ignoring them and appeasing them will make them worse.

A very important distinction.
I watched what Ilhan Omar said about Charlie Kirk. She made an absolutely cold-blooded comment about his death implying that he should have been killed, she has no remorse about it and everyone should forget about him and his death and move on. If she were to face death for what she said, she would have attorneys arguing night and day that she has a right to free speech for saying that.
However, she JUST said that Charlie Kirk's death was justifiable because she considered what he said to be hate speech. When she says that he basically should have been killed, to those that admired Kirk and were uplifted by what he said hear her words as raw hate speech. So, why are his opinions of absolutely no value nor his life of any value, yet we should hear what she says and act on it? Why is her life to be insulated ("I am not going to sit here and be judged.") from criticism and her life of value that it should not be taken away and yet his life was to be without insulation or any protection at all? Just because she said so?
The way she stands on what she said, then logically she advocates for the death of anyone who supports Charlie Kirk. She will in the future call for the death of anyone honoring Charlie Kirk, believing what he said, or criticizing her. She is a direct threat to the lives of millions of people if her power and influence grow in this country. If she has her way, there MUST eventually be a civil war against her and her followers because she wants us to die. If she is severely punished, removed from Congress and deported as an example, others who believe the way she does will settle down immediately. If they don't, revoke the citizenship of each one who acts out and deport that person as well. Sooner or later, they will get it.
