I understand that.
We need a full court press from Kash to get Schiff and other leaders.
I agree.
We didn’t dodge a bullet, we dodged a nuclear bomb.
“That is why we need to play hardball with the mass media.
One place to start—have the FCC revoke all local television station licenses (including PBS) since none of them serve the public interest.
Then auction off the spectrum from scratch.”
Agreed. But... as we are seeing with these multiple embedded rogue leftist judges stopping Trump’s agenda on various issues... that is easier said than done.
The main thing is... Trump must, at all costs, keep up the momentum of these cuts and reforms. He’s on a roll right now and can’t afford to allow the left to slow him down. His strategy seems to be working... ie have so many pans in the fire that they can’t keep up. They cut the heat to one pan, he ups the heat to the others. That’s how you fight the commie fire with fire. Go Trump.
Good points.
The Republicans had better do all that is necessary to gain and retain more and more strength.
The Republicans should concentrate on decimating them in 2026.
Goodbye Democrats.
Next job is to rid the Republican Party of the Republicrats.
Actually I take a little different, but related approach to this.
The Democrats have been on a backward slide for a long time... They got a reprieve with Obama, with the help of a bad economy and an unpopular war, they were able to leverage identity politics to put Obama in office... However, this was a poison pill.
Obamas election covered up the fundamental problems and introduced even bigger ones. With his election, they went all in on Identity politics, and even though Obama won re-election, he did so by being the first president to be re-elected by fewer votes than his first election, and not insignificantly... nearly 3.5 Million fewer votes in 2012, than 2008... This has NEVER happened in American History. No president before Obama had won a second term by fewer votes than his first term, EVER.
The Dems IMHO have been in a long term downward trend since for a long long time, at least at the presidential level. During the Clinton years, the party began to demand ideological purity, and removed all dissent. They ran the blue dogs out of the party, refused to allow Casey to speak at their convention, and embraced left wing radical orthodoxy.
Obama further exacerbated their problems, while a combination of an unpopular war and an economic mess allowed Obama into power, the embracement of further orthodoxy of Identity Politics, ensured the Democrats were going to pay a heavy price down the road.
Trump was a direct response to just how out of touch the Democrats and the political establishment as a whole had wondered. They lashed out by doing anything and everything they could to destroy him, including install a dementia puppet into the white house in 2021. The already downward trend of the Democrats took a brutal beating as their failed policies wrecked the economy and burned the globe.. however their repeated lying about everything under Biden, cost them. Lying about him being mentally competent, when he clearly wasn’t. Lying about the economy. Lying about jobs, Lying about everything... People who were at least willing to give the Democrats a shot, figured out the con... and when it becomes clear you are lying about EVERYTHING, you lose any chance those people will ever give you a chance again.
So yes, the Biden failure absolutely hastened the downward trend, but it was growing for a long long time before Biden.
Can the democrats recover? Well, I’d love to say no they can’t but the reality is, the globalist and establishment folks are going to go somewhere... and its easier to leverage even a damaged party than to start a new one. So we will see what happens. I do believe that as long as Trump’s term is not an unmitigated failure, the democrats are in for a long long drought when it comes to Presidential politics.
They have already shown they can’t win without a crisis. In my entire lifetime, no Democrat has managed a win, without a crisis, at least at the presidential level
Carter - watergate
Clinton - Economic Recession and a 3 way race spoiler
Obama - Economic Recession/Ongoing unpopular war/failure in Iraq
Biden - Covid
We shall see how everything plays out, but short of Trump’s term being an abject disaster, its hard to see how the Democrats are going to have any shot at the whitehouse in 2028 at this point.. 3 years is a long time, but that’s certainly how things look at this point. They continue to lose appeal in all but urban cores, and even there their support is less than it once was.
“the Dems cant begin to change course until they de radicalize.”
How can they do that when in a 45 to 0 vote in the US Senate they favor men playing women’s sports.
They have zero support—not even one senator—in favor of de-radicalizing.
That kind of radical party change takes decades—from zero senators to a bunch of senators—maybe even a century.
I didn’t say they were, I said I believe they have to if they wish to ever be viable nationally.
They are in a bad way... they bet the farm on Identity Politics during the Obama years, now they have no idea how to get out of it.
Dems have the courts running at full speed.
the dems are cornered animals
very dangerous situation
The leftist mag I read the most (stealing their articles of course) is The Atlantic.
It is probably the most influential in ruling Democrat circles.
They had some decent articles after the election analyzing what the Democrats had done wrong.
However after the inauguration they went right back to their old ways—insane article after insane article with variations on the “Trump is Hitler” theme.
They learned nothing—and these are the smartest Democrats.
I don't think they can. They cannot escape their ancient past, they cannot escape their recent past, they have painted themselves into many corners, they have shown absolutely zero ability to admit that they were wrong on anything, their absolute sanctimony and superiority seems to be permanent, they're on the 20-side of every 80-20 split these days, they're losing thousands of voters every single day, they lost every swing state, they lost the popular vote, they lost ground in every demographic, they lost the House, they lost the Senate majority, they lost the majority of state Legislatures, they lost the Governorships, etc etc etc... and without the ability to change course on any major topic, the only way back to relevance within less than 2 decades is to start an entirely new Party.
It would be "unburdened by what has been", it can adopt more popular stances, it can bring back their quickly disappearing moderate wing, and can become something... ANYTHING... other than the We Hate Trump Party.
Time will tell.
They are not “elected” into office to deal with anything, DJT, problems, whatever.
They are elected to provide entertainment to the braindead who identify with the Demo party. This is performance art — nothing of value.
Yep, there are people who see the truth, but they are shouted down.
They are in a bind... They are going to have to admit they have failed, and failed horribly, which they just seem incapable of doing.
They have to admit they lied, which they absolutely won’t do. Not even to this day will they admit they lied about Biden’s mental issues.
They have to abandon identity politics, and that is effectively the glue holding together what little they have left, so, they really have themselves painted into a corner.
They have no idea how to get out of it.
Yes, they are dangerous... That is the real risk here, because there is such a vacuum, and they are so desperate, there is absolutely a real risk of some very very bad people taking over the party.
What’s left of the party faithful are rabid, they will embrace anything and justify any evil so long as it “get’s Trump”... that’s where they are today.
That’s a great post. You nailed it very well.
The Democrats are undoubtedly under the influence of Evil. It is undeniable.
They are showing their ugly, vile true colors and they probably won’t stop doing that.
Now, the Republicans must not slack off, strengthen their numbers and positions, stay in sync with the people and destroy them at every turn.
Thanks for sharing that.
They are stuck in their ways and they can’t figure out that they are their worst enemy.
They have no idea how to get out of it.
><
No, they don’t. They’re in quicksand.
It is strange—the February 2025 Atlantic and the December 2024 Atlantic are at total cross purposes.
Part of the liberal brain disease is excess emotionalism.
They are unable to keep rationality on the table for very long.
President Trump has been a master at trolling these folks—yanking all their strings at the same time.
Those of us from the Northeast (who have been surrounded by leftists most of our lives) have a deep understanding of how to get leftists to spin in circles.
Folks from more Republican and conservative parts of the country tend to be a bit baffled by the whole game.
Hint: Leftists have no rules or real issues. “The issue is not the issue. The revolution is the issue.” Once you master that you hit them with everything at once—and they can’t even remember why they took positions on various issues.
