To capture Volchansk, another 10 thousand troops are needed

Our army encountered unforeseen difficulties in advancing towards Volchansk [ https://t.me/kremlin_secrets/4103 ]. Sources say that the assault on positions in the Kharkov direction was premature for several reasons.

Firstly, it was urgently necessary to move the front line away from Belgorod. The regional center suffered both from enemy attacks and from the fall of our air bombs, which did not reach Ukraine.

Secondly, there was not much time left before the arrival of American help; it was necessary to try to test the waters as much as possible and advance at the front until weapons were supplied from the United States.

Thirdly , Sergei Shoigu tried to provide a good background before the president’s visit to China.

According to sources, to capture Volchansk in the coming days it is necessary to urgently transfer at least 10 thousand troops. And, of course, technology. At the front they say there are not enough drones and armored vehicles to provide cover [https://t.me/kremlin_secrets/3977 ].

At the same time, the interlocutors agree that the capture of Volchansk itself does not provide strategic superiority. All our sources refused to disclose the loss figures, saying only that they were “quite serious.”

“Wonder” where the western media is on this. All I heard was how bad a situation the Ukranians were in. Corruption, ineptitude….., now that Russian offensive has stalled and loses are high for Russians (Ukranians as well) will the west report this.

Not sure 10000 soldiers will make much of a difference when daily loses are over 1000, and as to equipment the early statements of a never ending stream of equipment Russia can throw at the war have not aged well.

I thought at the beginning of this “offensive “ that it smacked more of desperation than opportunism. The Russians knew they did poorly when American aid was paused, and that resumption of aid as well as increased aid from others was going to make any more gains difficult and even more costly.

The stories of great Soviet armies rolling over the nazis. IE Kursk, destruction of German army at Stalingrad, and capture of Berlin have been reduced to turtle tanks, 2-3 vehicle “assaults”, but the massive loses for any gains remains

Realization by many of the reality on the ground are beginning to become more and more evident.

My position was and is that this war has become a threat to putin and the Russian federation. Battlefield loses like in kherson and Kharkiv early on show this. China has a memory as well, and putins justifications for claims on territory reside in Xi’s mind as well.

The idea that China can take these regions and have rather than buy their resources I am sure is not lost on Xi. Without the resources taken from these regions western Russia is in a world of hurt.
