Why is no one posting on this? We lost big. We won't win the senate seat next year. It will end up as another shoot ourselves in the foot exercise. Something tells me we don't have a clue. Similar results in deep red states.

My friends our enemies have us by the short hairs and we have only ourselves to blame. We got what we wanted. Abortion is a state issue. We've gone too far on this one and our inability to follow up on this is stupid. Trump is not afraid to talk about it and he will get drowned out by our enemies. No freeper has brought it up. Too many postings on blacks getting away with crimes. Again the GOP doesn't have a clue.

we are on a collision with permanent one party rule, a dictatorship. No one can stop it. 24 was lost in 20, in fact all future elections were lost in 20

I don’t understand it. It seems responsible and common sense that you would need 60% to change a State Constitution and that is this what proposal was. I think they are going to regret this and soon when the woke crazies start stuffing things onto their Constitution. 50% is a low threshold considering what happened with voting integrity

The sky is falling!!!

Ohio will not turn blue. Most of the areas are red and they will continue to elect that way, so the state house will likely stay much as it is.

The problem lies in the balance, on individual issues.
Democrat strongholds + suburban birthing (and aborting) persons teamed up to shoot down issue 1, and they will also get their abortion protection bill passed this fall.

So on the whole, Ohio will still continue to be slightly red in most of the people they pick, but on many social issues Ohio is on the blue side.

The Cleveland Indians should have changed their name to the Ohio Baby Killers. They aren’t “guarding” crap.

I would have voted NO as well. It was a stupid referendum to begin with. The GOP leadership in Ohio ought to be ashamed of themselves.

*Ohio will not turn blue.*

Frank LaRose will be the big loser-our best bet who won statewide once already. He supported this big time. What’s left is a loser named Dolan and another named Moreno. That race was considered a tossup. Too late now. That is no way to ‘thread the needle’ as Trump suggested.

We’ll end up with candidates like Voinovich and DeWine. Only they’ll lose. I can see why Portman quit. We were threading the needle on him. Did it with Corker in TN. Marsha’s much better.

St. Paul sums it up, what we’re facing in these evil times.

2 Timothy, chapter 3:

3:1 Know also this, that, in the last days, shall come dangerous times.

3:2 Men shall be lovers of themselves, covetous, haughty, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, ungrateful, wicked,

3:3 Without affection, without peace, slanderers, incontinent, unmerciful, without kindness,

3:4 Traitors, stubborn, puffed up, and lovers of pleasures more than of God:

“We won’t win the senate seat next year.”

Trump won Ohio by 8 points in 2016 and 2020. And JD Vance won his seat last year by 6.5 points.

The Senate seat is very likely to go Republican.

The GOP “won” the battle over Roe v Wade.

In true GOP fashion, they want to mess it up by overreaching. What is it with the republicans not being able to “read the room.”

This was one of the most “heavy handed” attempts to snatch defeat from the hands of victory that I’ve seen. These morons deserve to be voted out of office. All they have accomplished is to give the Democrats much more ammunition against them in the next cycle.

Issue 1 was Larose’s baby. He and his rino buddies were spreading their standard propaganda, it’s about stopping gun control and abortion tripe. He thought conservatives would be played once again. It is time for some of you on here to drop the battered wife syndrome. This man will certainly not get my vote. I’m finished voting for rino trash.

Dolan up next in my following comment...gun control hero.

I do like Vance, but overall the Ohio GOP is just the worst.

They were afraid of losing a 50%+1 vote on abortion this fall, so instead of going to work to win that election, they said, “hey, let’s sneak a single-issue vote onto a low-turnout summer ballot, win THAT by a 50%+1, and then make it harder for the pro-abortion people to win the general election vote on their initiative.”

Makes the pro-life position look sneaky, cowardly and dishonest.

First Kansas, then Kentucky, and now we can add Ohio to the list of allegedly solid "red" states which surprised Republicans by thwarting ballot measures which would do anything to even slightly reduce the prevelance of that Blessed Holy Liberal Sacrament of Abortion.

Once again, Democrats effectively motivated their voters while Republicans were complacent and took this off-year election lightly -- as they also did in April's Supreme Court election in Wisconsin, where the GOP's resounding defeat in that race has effectively handed Democrats total control of that state's government.

Just as the shocking pro-abortionist victory in supposedly deep red Kansas in August of 2022 served as an indicator that there would be nothing resembling a "red wave" in November (in Kansas or just about anywhere else) despite the fever dreams of the hopium addicts which lasted all the way until election night, yesterday's result in supposedly deep red Ohio can be taken as a similar canary-in-the-coal-mine for November of 2024, when Democrat Sherrod Brown will likely cruise to another Senate win in Ohio and Republicans will have their hands full trying to get that state's 17 critical electoral votes. Ohio is not a mortal lock to go in the GOP column, and yesterday's vote highlights that fact.

Wouldn't yesterday's important election have been a nice opportunity for Republicans to implement their new favorite election tactic -- ballot harvesting -- instead of merely giving it lip service? The GOP leadership (Trump and occasionally Ronna McRomney) throws those words around because they know that GOP voters want to hear that the party is going to do something to try to compete on more equal footing against Democrat fraud efforts. Unfortunately the term "ballot harvesting" is just a handy buzzword to them and nothing more. The amount of money and level of organization required to change those words into actions are not forthcoming and will not be in place in any widespread systematic manner on the Republican side for 2024.

RED Flag in Ohio. The governor signed the bill into law. A November leftist Columbus Journal article shows the Nazism that is about to start happening in our state. Red flag isn’t mentioned in either article except to say Red Flag was stripped from the bill, which is a total lie. Most Ohioans are totally unaware of what just happened. Behavioral risk Assessments are the operative words here. They started implementation of this in my 5 county area this last month. You can bet DeWine is cheering for Dolan.
As I said, gun control hero. As far as I’m concerned Dolan ran for the senate just to take out J. D. Vance and put his soul mate democrat Ryan in there.

Issue I demonstrated the Sodomites superior.....

1. Out of state money machine.
2. Absentee ballot harvesting/ballot fraud infrastructure.
3. Messaging in a compliant, Sodomite favoring media.
4. Refinement of ground game/corruption to push Ohio toward another NC, GA. WI, MI, AZ outcome....lie-cheat-steal until you don’t have to anymore.

Expect....
1. Abortion to birth/parental rights Ballot this fall to be much closer as it is harder to message and a traditionally bigger turnout in November elections, even the odd year ones.

2. Expect more Sodomite initiatives on
-gun control,
-black rifle bans
-100% background checks
-magazine bans
-rollback on ConsCarry and stand your ground
-what other Sodie wet dream?
-gender/sex deviancy and practices as further protected class,
-making Bible verses hate crimes
-consumer legal marijuana,
-climate change restrictions on power, etc
-other Sodie wet dreams they already do not have,

3. Use of off cycle low turnout elections for these as they mobilize better for small dedicated voter blocs...

4. 2024 Senate race is too far out to call.....
-who are the final candidates
-how far loony left or RINO are they
-Trump effect
-if close, and the Sods can cheat enough in the cities, they will win

Personally, I doubt many Christian conservatives under the age of 65 that do not bend knee to the neo-Baalists will die peacefully in their beds.

The next 10 years, absent Jesus’ rapid return, will be a nightmare of Godless mob rule.

We are Hobbits and this is Book II of LOTR.

Our little backwater Shires are safe for awhile yet...but the Black Riders are already here and Orcs are in the shadows.

But me and mine will endure until whatever end.

Special Elections are a guaranteed way for conservatives to loose an election.

Far too many government workers go to the polls on these special elections and that overwhelms the conservatives who stay home.

All states need to stop Special Elections.

As my wife and I walked out of our polling place here in Greene County, Ohio, I asked her if she thought the Dominion systems we voted on will record our Yes votes as No...

The advertising on this issue was so screwed up, the low information voters voted No. Now the state constitution will contain abortion on demand this fall.

The good news is the abortion referendum will happen this year in Nov. 2023, and will hopefully be out of everyone’s system by 2024 when the Senate & Presidency is up.
