Ukrainian forces began firing US-provided cluster bombs on Russian forces in southeastern Ukraine.

Using cluster bombs in battle is a war crime.

Joe Biden continues to destroy America’s reputation in the world.

The Washington Post reported.

Ukraine has begun firing U.S.-provided cluster munitions against Russian forces in southeastern Ukraine in a push to break up well-fortified Russian positions that have slowed Ukraine’s summer offensive, according to Ukrainian officials familiar with the matter.… pic.twitter.com/Q9oYqfQzTr

— The Washington Post (@washingtonpost) July 20, 2023

The Biden administration decided two weeks ago to send thousands of cluster bombs to Ukraine despite these bombs being banned in 120 countries.

A year ago then White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki said Russia’s alleged use of cluster bombs was a war crime.

It’s like Joe Biden and his handlers are doing their best to destroy America’s reputation in the world today and make us the bad guys.

I wish that Jim Hoft was a reliable source of accurate information, but unfortunately he is not.

“You don’t “Fire’ a cluster munition’ they are dropped from aircraft.”

There are definitely artillery fired cluster munitions.

I served, and serving doesn’t give one the right to send others to death.
It also doesn’t absolve you of being criticized.
Not our country, not our ally, not our business.

Dismissing all of those in charge as a separate issue is childish at best.

Congrats and thanks for your service. You can criticize my opinion. Dont insult me by saying I can have that opinion because I am safe at home.

Good day.

We are told Russia used cluster bombs.

That seems to be one of many propaganda lies we have been fed.

The truth seems to be closer to Russia wants to keep control of the Donbask region and has a vested in interest in not destroying or polluting the territory they want of keep.

Cluster munitions can take decades of expensive remediation to clear and Russia rationally does not seem to want to have to go to the trouble and expense of cleaning up after the war.

Now that cluster munitions are being used against them, the Russians will probably respond in kind.

Biden claims our cluster bombs are are high reliability, socially responsible cluster bombs. Even if you believe that Biden garbage, the Russians make no such claims. They will no doubt respond to our use of cluster munitions by clearing out their oldest inventory of their most politically incorrect cluster munitions and use them on what will be post conflict Ukrainian territory

These are the same Russian cluster bombs that created a whole generation of leg and armless children across the globe who were the lucky ones because they survived the encounter with an unexploded cluster bomblet.

Welcome to another Biden cluster bomb fiasco which will sonn be added to the long list of Biden f**ks which the world will paying for long after Biden is gone.

I had no idea so much damage could be done so quickly by one man.

I had friends who voted for Biden on the rational that we simply had to get rid of Trump and sure, Biden was a moron under the best of circumstances and he was growing senile.

But how much damage could he do in 4 years and there were goig to be good, smart Democrat people in the White House to run things and make sure Biden did not screw up too badly ?

This was literally their justification for supporting and voting for Biden.

Turns out, Biden can do a lot of damage.

The Biden administration decided two weeks ago to send thousands of cluster bombs to Ukraine despite these bombs being banned in 120 countries.

And yet not banned by Russia or the US, or even Ukraine.

A year ago then White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki said Russia’s alleged use of cluster bombs was a war crime.

This is a misrepresentation achieved by dropping specific context:

Q Thanks, Jen. There are reports of illegal cluster bombs and vacuum bombs being used by the Russians. If that’s true, what is the next step of this administration? And is there a red line for how much violence will be tolerated against civilians in this manner that’s illegal and potentially a war crime?

MS. PSAKI: It is — it would be. I don’t have any confirmation of that. We have seen the reports. If that were true, it would potentially be a war crime.

If what were true? Violence against civilians. Dumping cluster bombs on civilians may get the approval of Haluga Khan, but it’s not an acceptable form of warfare in the 21st century.

Actually, I’m pretty sure what we gave Ukraine were artillery shells that are cluster munitions, hence the use of the term fire.

Google it I think you will see I’m correct.

Credible reports indicate that Russian armed forces have used cluster munitions in populated areas of Ukraine, at least two dozen times since they invaded on 24 February, UN rights chief Michelle Bachelet said on Wednesday.

https://news.un.org/en/story/2022/03/1115092

This is from March of 2022.

Russia’s use of cluster bombs from the very beginning has been documented.

Russia has been using cluster bombs and cluster incendiary munitions since the start of their brutal invasion of Ukraine including attacks on the Ukrainian city of Kharkive.

Using them on civilian areas is considered to be the war crime and using them against enemy troops is NOT considered to be a war crime. And only by those countries who have signed off.

The USA, Ukraine, and Russia have not signed off this document.

You don’t “Fire’ a cluster munition’ they are dropped from aircraft.

They’re also launched from ballistic rockets, which are ‘fired’. If you’re going to be pedantic, it’s important to be correct.

There are various versions, they include artillery shells and missile warheads as well.

"That would be escalation, just sayin."

Putin just said four days ago that if Ukraine uses cluster bombs against Russian forces in Ukraine, he will do likewise, as he has a stockpile of them.

Using cluster bombs in battle is a war crime.

Only if you lose the war.

They are very effective at clearing those artillery-sown mine fields that the Russians like to use. And how are those mine fields any different than cluster bombs?

Both munitions leave large numbers of unexploded ordinance in a field which can take decades to clear. What a mess.

They said the same thing about the Colonies in 1777.

Ukraine using US made cluster munitions on the frontline is “controversial”, but Russia using their own cluster munitions on civilians ... crickets.

LOL!! The Bugs Bunny, Daffy Duck, Elmer Fudd, Porky Pig, etc. characters from the cartoons I enjoyed as a kid in the 50’s, would never be able to say today, the things they said back then.
