Fashion model Jeremy Ruehlemann died at the age of 27, friends and industry professionals announced Sunday.
The young model’s cause of death was not revealed publicly.
The New Jersey native had walked and modeled for designers including Christian Siriano, John Varvatos, Superdry, Perry Ellis, and more. He also appeared in publications like GQ and Playhouse Magazine.
Siriano shared a touching tribute to Ruehlemann on Instagram Sunday.
“I have never posted anything like this but to lose a friend who was such a beautiful soul is just really hard,” the “Project Runaway” star wrote. “This is for Jeremy, the most beautiful man that gave so much love to everyone he met no matter what.”
Siriano described the model as one of his “muses” and sent his love to his grieving family and friends.

He took too much percocet. Probably had an anti depressant in him also. That’s where the accidents happen. You can die from a Xanax and a Vicodin. Been there and didn’t mean to do it.

Yes, during my career my crews and I responded to a lot of people who had lost consciousness after taking the wrong combination of drugs or drugs and alcohol. Most of them lived to tell the tale. The majority who died had taken illicit drugs where the potency often varies. Some died because they intentionally took a lethal overdose then called someone to save them after it was too late.

In my case, my primary care physician didn’t realize what he prescribed to me since everything was still done on paper and he had 15 years of notes on me. But also, my pharma never raised the red flag. My new PCP had all my information in his system and on my first visit after all of this happened said to me, “why aren’t you dead?”
That is certainly one way to break the ice.
