Without warning, 10 people were out of a job.

Why 10 employees? It should be just two of them until they get enough money coming in to hire another employee. How hard can it be to make a donut?

It actually is a lot of work to make the great big heaping bunch of doughnuts that you need for a bakery.

But you are right, that is way to many employees.

Even if they are part time.

My local bakery has four and only the owner is full time.

I’ve noticed a number of female employers seem to have a lot of young female employees, even if they don’t seem to do much. Lesbians are probably more likely to do so.

Granted, our local doughnut shop serves a relatively small town, but I’ve never seen more than 3 people working there. Once the doughnuts run out during the morning, the shop closes.

How hard can it be to make a donut?

Most doughnuts that taste good have some dairy in them. Golden Doughnuts of Columbus, GA (glazed) was a notable exception.

I’ve made them before; if they’re not done JUST RIGHT... You end up with gooey. There is a skill to it, to an extent.

It’s called hard work, I guess they weren’t serious. Probably just a “Look at us lesbians” business plan.
