A Patriots alternative to Quickbooks
me | July 31,2022 | lucky American

I am looking to an alternative business/accounting site that caters to patriotic businesses. Quick books or intuit charges me for services I don't want or need. The charge has gotten outrageous.

I heard an ad one day about a website that caters to patriotic Americans but I didn't write down their name. I know my Freeper friends will come through as always.

Don’t know if this will work for you but I have been using it for years. It is primarily an invoicing service but they do offer add ons.
Check it out.
I pay $15 per month. Worth every penny, very simple and reliable.

I am still running QuickBooks Pro 2012!, last year the shipping manager quit and a bunch of other things started freaking out and not printing right. I found answers for printing on internet and fixed them, but shipping still didn’t work.

I looked into buying the new desktop version but realized it was an Annual Subscription now! FU Intuit!!

I downloaded and installed separately the 2021 QuickBooks PRO Desktop Trial Version, and the new files it installed FIXED my 2012 Version and everything works great now. DO NOT UPGRADE

NO SUBSCRIPTION!!!

Honestly, QB is the standard. Especially if you are depreciating stuff and handling inventory. I used it for my payroll, and for my half dozen or so contractors.

It integrates with most tax programs.

I understand not liking the “subscription” crap. But, it DOES work.

I am a bookkeeper for a small church and do everything in excel.
I also bookkeep for a construction company and the owner requests that I do it in QuickBooks.
Though I would rather not use QB because they are expensive and all the tech support is overseas.

Thanks for the support. Quick books is always making me pay for stuff I don’t use. It’s very basic payroll and taxes. I don’t use the inventory, investment, or invoices or even banking . I just do payroll and write out checks. $99 dollars a month.

AccountEdge is serious accounting software for small to medium-sized businesses. They use a subscription model too, but about half the cost of Quickbooks and you keep your own data on your own machine, Mac or PC.

Now as you are complaining about Quickbooks having too many features.. this won’t solve that problem, the software is very complete and has been around just as long as Quickbooks. But, it is rock solid and not assembled out of bailing wire like Quickbooks. (from Quicken long time passing)

The sad fact is that most accounting software now is only available as cloud-based apps leaving your data in some data center halfway around the world.
