What's Going On In Pennsylvania
CTH ^ | 12 May 2022 | Sundance

Posted on 05/13/2022 3:55:19 AM PDT by Chad C. Mulligan

Perhaps you’ve noticed. For the past two nights Fox News and a host of corporate allies have been doing a full-frontal attack against Pennsylvania Senate Candidate Kathy Barnette.

The club reaction appears to have been triggered by a GOP Trafalgar poll showing Kathy Barnette in a close second place (23.2%), surging ahead of David McCormick (21.6%) and right on the heels of Mehmet Oz (24.5%). [Bartos 7.2%, Sands 6.5%]

In this outline I will explain the easily visible GOPe club moves without trying to support any particular candidate, that’s for Pennsylvania voters to decide. However, once you understand the background play, it might help clarify what the Keystone state voters are witnessing.

BACKGROUND. President Trump has endorsed Mehmet Oz. However, many people in the MAGA base are stuggling with that endorsement because they just don’t like the guy and question the bonafides of his sudden, seemingly convenient, MAGA-mindedness.

Meanwhile, David McCormick is the GOPe candidate from the mold of the typically Wall Street Mitch McConnell tribe.

McCormick is the quintessential corporate republican, or what might be described as the ‘establishment’ party choice. I would call McCormick the club candidate.

Kathy Barnette is the alternative favorite in the race for the MAGA base who just cannot bring themselves to support Oz. Barnette is the outsider and carries a fierce independent streak that appeals to frustrated voters who have had enough of the nonsense.

As a result, the top three in the race break down into McCormick as the Club candidate, while Barnette and Oz are splitting the MAGA vote. By my estimation the MAGA support looks like 60%(ish) Barnette and 40%(ish) Oz. What is happening now in this race is very Karl Rove-ian.

Barnett or bust—->>>>>>>>>>>>>

Maybe she will put some balls on the rest of the wavering Republicans of PA.She is the only one even talking the right game. Screwe these lefty Trotskyites.

PA will not wake up to the crap they are about to experience at the hands of commie radicals, Barnett is the only one calling them out.

I’m not so sure about that.

People here in Pennsylvania are being crushed under Democrat policies. Senior citizens who would usually vote Dem ( simply because they always have) are complaining out loud about how expensive things have gotten.

I always tell them, “Elections have consequences. We need to clean house in Harrisburg. “

Empirical evidence, I know. But in all my years I have never seen and heard from people like I have this year.

Beagle8U;

I don’t disagree with you, but in a time of turbulence the voters are likely going to look for candidates who have one key characteristic that goes way beyond talking a good game: getting things done.

Of all the GOP candidates in the two PA statewide races, the Democrats seem to be pushing the two (Mastriano and Barnette) who have the weakest resumes and fewest (if any) examples of actually accomplishing anything.

SOME women…and apparently some men too ( Trump , Hannity, Greg Kelly)

People voting on strategy seem to want Oz thinking he can win in November. Is it based solely on Trumps endorsement? I don’t know….because nothing in his past seems to indicate a solid conservative ideology.

People voting for principle like Barnette but can she overcome the hits that are sure to come? And can she win in November?

Nobody likes door #3. Lol

Caught the first couple minutes of BREAKING NEWS ALERT Hannity last night and he was nothing but a whiny little bitch about Barnette. Couldn’t switch the channel fast enough.

“Ugly politics. Truly ugly.”

Establishment trickery, two MAGA candidates and one Mitch lapdog. Lapdog RINO wins while MAGA crowds votes are split.

As crisis upon crisis piles up, FJB sells us out to WHO, WEF, and the Regime is more than obviously “America last” .... I take that back ... it’s America under the bus .... the people are being backed into a survival corner. No gas, no food, no medicine, no freedom, weaponized ‘rule of law’, invasion of our southern border by criminals who are given what should go by rights to American citizens, a tyrannical Regime ... and much more. All that being said, I am more of the opinion every day that we can’t vote our way out of this, either because there will be no election or it is so corrupted that the FJB Regime & more like it to follow, will prevail.

Not ugly at all... PAR FOR THE COURSE...

After 6 months and 60 Million dollars spent between Oz and McCormic, neiter one can close the deal... They are both dogs that won’t hunt.

Barnette has quietly been pounding the pavement the whole time and when her moment of exposure during the 2 debates gave those who do not approve of Oz or McCormick a choice they started to take it.. and typical to the swamp that is the PA party of the GOP and the Uniparty machine.... they long knives came out to destroy Kathy hoping to force the peasants back into line and follow their masters orders.

If ONLY these people worked as hard against Democrats as they do true conservatives imagine what this country would look like....

I hope Barnette pulls it out, I know on the ground here in PA, folks are liking what they are seeing...

Barnette publicly called out BOTH McCromick and OZ for their buisness and personal ties to the WEF in the debates... among other things....

People like what this woman has to say, and OZ and McCormick are both sad options.

I believe Barnett is the only one addressing “medical freedom” - has it on her website (so I heard - haven’t checked it out personally). Any candidate not addressing this issue is a non- starter for me (not in PA so no vote in this one).

Her platform and positions are loved by the folks on the ground here.... She absolutely owned BOTH debates..

As I said elsewhere she called out both Oz and McCormick for their businesses being involved in the WEF... Tell me one other candidate anywhere even talking about that?

She absolutely bitch slapped Oz on abortion.

The reason she’s surging is, she actually is a conservative.. at least in her stated positions.... and she’s quite capable of articulating her positions.

Oz and McCormick were annointed by the powers that be, and have campaigned largely by spending cash on ads, and meeting with the party elites and connections.

Kathy’s been actually pounding the pavement meeting and talking with anyone and everyone... the press in this state that have been covering her state she is without question the most accessible and responsive candidate running.

Basically you have the party pushing 2 guys that can’t hunt... A slimeball named Oz, and a Wall Street guy named McCormick. Both of which have no political base in PA, have never held office before, but have been annointed by those on high that they shall be the candidate... Think Jeb in 2016...

The electorate themselves, aren’t buying or going along with it.... Even before the Debates when most voters didn’t knwo who Barnette was, Oz and McCormick weren’t going anywhere, both stuck in around 20% all cycle..

The official line from the “party” is they cant because they were attacking each other the whole time so no one could get ahead, which is BS... the reason neither of them got anywhere is because the electorate doesn’t want or trust EITHER OF THEM.. pure and simple.

Yet, the same powers that be are trying to sell that these are the only people who can win in the fall... people who can’t get republican voters to support them... yet they are going to be able to take out a VERY STRONG Democrat candidate who’s actually has a basis of true political support here... its an insane hypothesis to put forward...

Oh, ONLY OZ can win in the fall.. or ONLY McCormick can win in the fall. its nonsense.

Fetterman is a STRONG candidate, and he’s an imposing figure, neither McCormick nor Oz is going to stand out in any memorable way against him. The only way either one of them can win is if the Demcrat brand is so damaged by Biden and the economy that a ham sandwich would win as long at it had an R beside its name.

Barnette on the other hand, if she handles herself the way she has been will not get lost in Fetterman’s shadow, because she is anything but a “typical generic R”. She’s not wishy washy and she’s not trying to walk some tightrope like the Rove era republican party... We’ve been there and done that, don’e need any more of that.. oh don’t stand up for anything so you don’t offend anyone.

Barnette offers the clearest ideological contrast we can get this fall.. Will she crash and burn? Maybe, but so too may Oz and McCormick.. it’s insane to claim that can’t happen to them, NEITHER one has ever ran for a political office before. Barnette on the other had, while certainly no pro, has run and actually outperformed Trump in the PA-4 election in 2020. And in the 2022 cycle she’s actually the only one speaking directly to voters... and it shows.

This is why I think we had our last Fair election in 2016 and 2020 may have been our last election for a long time. If I wasn’t a christian, and all that that implies, I would be going nuts right now.

“nuts”, I mean beside myself. It’s not lost on me that there are a lot of people on the right that have strong conservative values, but are not religious but are stoics. If we end up without a November election or if the Democrats steal it again, those people will be seriously dangerous to the left. And if they act out enough, they will inspire not only their own but also some of those that claim to be christian. That will be when our cold civil war goes hot.
