I have had people assume, by my appearance, that I am Jewish, when I am not.
We have an old picture of my grandfather and a couple of my great uncles, dressed up in suits each with one foot up on the running board of my grandpa's 1933 Buick, that he happened to buy at a police auction after it was impounded. It was used as a getaway car in some local bank robberies. It looked like a scene from The Untouchables. We're Jewish but people thought grandpa was a Luciano or Gambino Lieutenant 🙂🙂

I have a few photos of my great uncles as young men, decked out in their suits and with just a certain look that might lead you to believe they were on Eliot Ness’ wanted list. Quite different from the old men I knew.
