I vowed to never see this, then the trailer had me wavering. A couple days ago I heard what the story was about (mini matrix with characters we know stuck in it) and that it had a gay couple, then this. I’ll pass on part 4. First movie was great. Parts 2 and 3 were borderline.
They’ll change the “red pill” to “pink pill”
I don’t think they are that creative. This seems to be a rehash of the original movie, complete with younger Morpheus (Fishburne says he was not asked back) and Agent Smith (Weaving was asked back, but his schedule commitments did not allow it).

I watched about half, got bored and wandered off to do more interesting things.
It is most definitely a rehash of the first film.
The red pill contains Ivermectin. Pass the word!
The Wachowskis are now both taking the estrogen pills. I would call them dicks but they got rid of theirs.
Kneau Reeves is old now. Pretty hard to remake the magic in the original Matrix movie. When it first come out, it was fresh. Problem is that Hollywood is reluctant to risk that much money on movies with an original story so they’ll rather back remakes, sequels or any flicks that’s part of a cinematic universe (Marvel).
The Matrix is one of those movies that is so bad that it insults one’s intelligence to even be near the movie when it is showing. The only other movie I can think of that sits with me this way is Sylvester Stallone’s Demolition Man, but even more so. Then there’s those Keanu Reeves film too, I guess there are plenty.
We’ll take “Red Pill” and keep it as ours now, thank you.
The studio wanted to make The Matrix (1999, and an original idea) but the BROTHERS had to make ‘Bound’ (1996) first to prove they could 1) make a movie, and 2) do so on budget.
I was going to watch it for free...but I’ve talked myself out of it.
The pics of masked people standing in line to present their vaccine cards to get into the movie were priceless.
I won’t be going.
I knew that the freak tranny directing this would try and repair the ‘Red Pill’ image.
My first thought upon hearing of a new Matrix movie in fact, was that it’s sole purpose was to reclaim the Red Pill from the right. It bugs the left that much.
You think the Demolition Man is a terrible movie? It’s a take on Aldous Huxley’s Brave New World and contains a myriad of relevant takes on how PC culture destroys a country.
I need to watch it again.
Some years back I was leaving an Italian restaurant in Buckhead at same time as Laurence Fishburne and shared an elevator up to ground floor. I recognized him and made eye contact as he was eye balling me. I didn’t say anything as I felt he deserves some privacy. Plus I just don’t care about celebrity. As we got to valet area other couples noticed him and started calling him Morpheus. It pissed him off. He didn’t impress me with that reaction. I was surprised that I didn’t notice him while dining though as La Grota is pretty small.

I watched free last night on HBO, included with my cell/internet. It was terrible. I fell asleep twice & when I was awake, I was bored to tears. Very poorly done IMHO. The fight scenes reminded me of those old martial arts movies’ sound effects. Not missing anything if you pass. Wish I could unsee it.
