The sprawling annual defense bill includes several provisions that would block the Biden administration from providing Iran with cash and would require the administration to come clean about any economic sanctions relief it provides to the Islamic Republic.

Iran and its Revolutionary Guard were responsible for thousands of deaths in Iraq. Both US military and Iraqi civilians.
They were the ones supplying rockets, mortars, bomb making material and teaching how to make IEDs and EFPs.
Sulemani was killed on Iraqi soil at a time when there was increasing violence toward the few American assets left in Iraq and many in the Iraqi government were vocal about expelling everything American from the country.
They’re doing this right after agreeing to let military courts Red Flag GIs without due process. 135 of them. What gems.
Too bad a large number of GOP also voted FOR the NDAA that included expanding the Draft to America’s daughters. Looking at you, Dan Crenshaw.
One: there is no draft.
Two: If "America's daughters" are allowed in combat arms (which is an abomination), what, exactly, is the argument that they shouldn't be drafted?
This is the GOP in a nutshell: Afraid to argue the fundamentals: No women in combat arms, hide behind "don't DRAFT women" when they know perfectly well there is no draft.
As an OIF/OEF vet, with extensive knowledge of Iranian activity on the ground in Iraq, Afghanistan, Syria, and Yemen, we have lost several hundred (dead), and have several hundred injured (mutilated) by Iranian produced and Iranian Shia network planted IED’s, and even VBID’s.
But locals in several countries have lost many more than we have, due to the same Iranian activity.
I once was involved in a 1400+ Iranian planted “daisy chain” mass human targeted casualty hit in Baghdad. The first to detonate was an Iraqi girls school bus full of young girls. This was the “hook” to get us to respond, which we did. Then he Iranian underground planted daisy-chain went off. In this scenario, both the Iraqi’s and the US and coalition servicemembers were hit.

From my position, while on multiple missions in both Iraq and Afghanistan, we were occasionally sent links directly by the Iranians, with raw video footage of our guys being blown up (with their narration going on ml mostly from Iranian sites, with several instances of “shaped charge experimentation” being carried out.
A couple of times, our covert Iraqi cell was given what turned out to be LIVE links (which were immediately passed to us), without enough time to avoid the attacks.
One of the most shocking and destructive shaped charge experiments we were EVER sent footage of, was of a full US MRAP, which was totally destroyed by an advanced Russian experimental shaped charge, which killed everyone on board, vaporizing and sucking them through their body armor, and out several holes which were no bigger than 2.5”inches in diameter. That footage was less than a day old when it arrived at the scif, and included Russian engineers detailing in Russian language, the set up, targeting, and detonation narration. From their Russian location in Iran, they were exuberant and cheering in defeating the MRAP armor.
Won’t get into it here, but there is also Hezbollah. Numerous attacks on US targets, across both CENTCOM and AFRICOM ME AOR’s.
We have now lost three UAV’s ) ok ne very expensive Global Hawk), which were shot down by the old, yet very high speed/high altitude SA6’s and SA7’s, which had been recently retrofitted with Russian 4th and 5th gen target acquisition.
Both Russia and China have for several years now, been supplying Huthi rebels in Yemen with weapons and engineering support against SA. One of ISR airbreathers was shot down just off the Yemeni coast in the Southern Red Sea, by an 5TH gen updated Russian manned SA7 missile. The Global Hawk was brought down over the Persian Gulf, from near 60 thousand feet, with another Russian 5th gen SA7, but that was Iranian manned.
Its off subject a bit, but Israel had a F-16 brought down by a Russian manned S-300 near the Syrian/Istaeli border a few years ago, on it’s way back from hitting one of several significant Russian engineered CW UFAC storage facilities just North of the Jordanian border in Syria, housing several thousand drums of CW from Al Muthana deep UFAC CW storage facility West/Northwest of Balad, Iraq.
The ME is basically the beginning of a kinetic WWIII on a likely short fuse.
In the larger strategic picture, Russia and China (which has possession of some of the largest energy fields in the ME), cannot allow the UAE/SA/Israel energy lines to be ported in Israel, and pumped to Greece and Southern Italy. Yemen, Libya, Ethiopia, and the greater Shia Crescent are key to stopping the US/Trump backed energy lines to Italy and the EU.
Putin has threatened another “Syrian style” mass refugee wave into Southern EU (from Tripoli), if the projects continue.

Did I mention the NDAA also expands the use of the Draft beyond just combat reinforcements to now include more bodies for “national emergencies”? Which in Democrat hands can include climate change, the lack of vaccination participation, and the absence of a national drag queen story hour...

You guys who post about this keep referring to “the draft”.
I was 18 years old in May 1968. I am very aware of “the draft” and how it worked.
In the current year, and in fact for the past 46 years, THERE IS NO DRAFT. For there to be a draft, legislation to create it would be required.
“Registering for the draft” is registering for nothing, except to keep some bureaucrats employed doing little to nothing. The probability that any future Congress would create a draft is approximately zero, and if they ever did, the first thing they would do is create Category IV-W for any woman who didn’t FEEL like being drafted.
Glad you admit that your understanding of the Draft is over 50 years out of date. What would THIS Congress due with the power to draft ALL young people 18-25 years of age for what they call a “national emergency”?
Look up “Normalcy Bias” if your answer to the question above is, “ain’t gonna happen” or some derivative thereof.
One thing about the draft 50 years ago is that it was real.
